FG Accepts 5-Point Demand Of EndSARS Protesters by ExAngel007(op): 3:35pm On Oct 13, 2020
The presidential panel on police reform has accepted the five-point demand of the #EndSARS protesters.

Over the past few days, there have been renewed calls for the scrapping of the special anti-robbery squad (SARS) of the Nigeria police force over reports of brutality and extrajudicial killings.

Following the protest, Mohammed Adamu, inspector-general of police (IGP), had disbanded the SARS unit.

President Muhammadu Buhari had also issued a directive, calling for a reform of the police force.

According to a statement issued on Tuesday by Femi Adesina, presidential spokesman, a meeting convened by the IGP with stakeholders agreed to meet the demands, which include halting the use of force against protesters and unconditional release of arrested citizens.

This is good.

Tribalism & religious sentiment should be discarded to achieve a progressive society.

The politicians will be surprised with this development.

Congratulations Nigerians ... especially the youth of this generation, which have protested against oppression and exploitation..they have done so aggressively, yet peacefully with so much empathy, ranging from provisions of support-Food, logistics, medical support and also cleaning of protests grounds after protest...Wow... Nigeria doesn't really deserve you...but then, there you are...and have no choice but to change Nigeria for good.

You all deserve better governance!!!

Disband yourselves and go to blazes because it's your wicked and heartless actions that led to an increase in crime that now led to the formation of those ruthless sars.

Besides ASUU, many Agencies of the federal government rejected IPPIS as a mode of Salary payment. The likes of NNPC, CBN, DPR, PPRA, PEF, PTI, NNRA, Nigeria Army,INEC etc.

They insisted that they have laudable and robust payroll system and that their peculiar Salary parameters would not fit into the proposed IPPIS. Today these agencies are comfortably left out of IPPIS trap.

I've to give it up to the youths!

For the very first time in the life of this administration, I see palpable fear on the side of the Federal Government.

The power of unity!

Social Media, real time reportage with video evidences scared the living hell outta Buhari lead FGN.

We won!

They should also make it a law not to search peoples phones unless authorized by court or a case of fraud is actually reported in police station.

Where's the legally signed documents of agreement by the government?

These daft people think we're dumb?

We need a signed agreement that's tenable anywhere.
