The biggest fear of any leader is not being able to control his or her people. That's the people's greatest power that Nigerians failed to utilize all these years. They keep falling for political gimmicks and failed promises.

Gov. Wike gave an order and the people defied him. He could have used the NPF or the military to quash the protest. But they are not under his command. He was forced to swallow his pride and identify with the people. If majority of the people choose to ignore orders from their leaders, it breeds chaos--and that is every dictator's worst nightmare.
