TO start with OGA, im one who has very close ties to people in politics. when i tell you, as far as Edo state is concerned and if not all states in NIGERIA, no councillor who started his tenure three years ago was elected in any election. The more reason why they dnt get their full salaries of 300-400k a month because they spent nothing on campaign or election.

I can tell you that they rig in governorship election too. So forget rigging in the councillors.

Once elected, rigging or not, he's qualified to his emoluments.

First, im not justifying any illegality.
Secondly, illegality brought them there so they should hide their faces in shame or keep quiet and allow their tenure to finish, instead of trying to blackmail the Gov.

We all would be here the day Ize Iyamu would pull the carpet off his feet.

That seems to be the practice with PDP. Remember Obasanjo wouldn't release allocations to Lagos State under Tinubu because Lagos state was in the hand of the opposition party. See how shallow-brained the people leading the affairs of the giant of Africa are?

Edo state is not Obaseki's company. He's not using his personal money to pay them. They are elected councillors, not appointed. I supported Obaseki against Oshiomole but let's call a spade a spade .

This is someone that accused Oshiomhole of godfatherism.

The painful part is Nigerians (Nairalanders) are blaming the councilors instead of Obaseki with his undemocratic move.

Wondering if it were to be APC Governor, that won't be their reaction

Any government with no opposition or opposing voice is no government.

Unfortunately Councillors are selected not elected. If a state governor is of the PDP, all the councillors (100%) will be selected from the PDP...and if a governor is of the APC, all the councillors will be selected from the APC.....
