The Edo State House of Assembly has lifted the three months suspension on former speaker, Hon. Frank Okiye, who was impeached a few days ago.

The assembly, during plenary today, also reversed his impeachment to resignation.

The reversal of the impeachment followed a motion moved by the Leader of the house, Mr Henry Okhuarobo, and seconded by Mr Emmanuel Okoduwa, representing Esan North East 11.

Moving the motion, Okhuarobo said the need to reverse the speaker’s impeachment followed appeals from their constituents.

Consequently, the motion, which received the overwhelming support of the members, was adopted by the house.

The Speaker, Marcus Onobun, told newsmen shortly after the plenary session that there was no rift between the house and executive arm of government.

In a reaction, the former speaker said he was pleased that the house reversed its decision on him.

He expressed his readiness to work with the present leadership for the good of his constituency.

Meanwhile, Okoduwa had been appointed the Chief Whip of the house.

It's called safe landing. Just to make him feel better. Nothing more! He was supposed to be suspended for 3months meaning all salaries and allowances would've been lost in those period. He was also supposed to be investigated for financial impropriety but all of that is no more. More like a state pardon. He'll simply continue his legislative business as a member of the house. Simple!

What reason could the governor have for taking him out in this manner?

The man would have joined forces with Oshiomole for Oshiomole to take over the assembly but he didn't he stood by the Governor.

He helped the Governor to inaugurate members who were loyal to him at 9.30pm in the night went a step further to declare the seats of the other 14 members elect who were not loyal VACANT just to please the Governor.

Colluded with the Governor to destroy and vandalize the assembly complex under the guise of the complex being under renovation.

Defended the Governor from AIT to Channels Television.

Massively delivered his constituency to the Governor in the election and the only way the Governor would pay him back after standing by him through thick and thin was to instigate his impeachment right inside GOVERNMENT HOUSE because in the Governor's inner circle he is considered to be a Philip Shuaibu's Man.

On the other hand this would serve as a big lesson to speaker that When you sell your brother, his buyers will never trust you.

None is from Esan....and all are from Edo State. They are all his brothers.
