I am a Nigerian American. Long story short my visa expired in 2019 and I never did a Nigeria passport. Nor do I have the dcouments to create one with me. I'm still in Nigeria . What will happen if I tried to leave? I have my American passport. Can I sort the people there? Or will they excuse me and allow me to go?

U are a Nigerian.....the word “overstay” does not apply to you in your own country....if you can Just go and get Nigerian passport at d immigrations office ..,,This is not the US...u can literarily walk into the immigrations and make a new passport with 40k...it will be easy if u have a Nigerian name and u can speak pigin....don’t form American accent oooo...

After that... just exit....either with ur Nigerian passport or ur US passport....they can’t stop u from exiting Nigeria..... though, if u decide to use the American passport .....you’ll be processed for overstaying....but it won’t be a big deal once you show them ur Nigerian passport...and u’ll have ur passport duly stamped for exit just like it was stamped when u entered...

Oga... enter immigration office with 40k trust me ....nobody will ask u for birth certificate.....unless u look 35 and u are claiming 18....
this is Nigeria...u know how many people wey no get birth certificate...

Go to Nigerian population COMMISSION (NPC) at stadium in lagos if you are in lagos. You can get a Birth certificate or attestation of birth. All you need is any valid means of ID. (voters card, drivers license or int passport).

Cost is about 6k

Enter any local government secretariat for the birth cert. #500

Don't mind anyone telling u they wnt ask you for birth certificate,they can help you get guarantor's bio data, driver license, state of origin but not birth certificate. Maybe it's different now o but i remember they asked for my original birth certificate,passport photograph nd they got other documents for me as long as payed them.

Something my guy still did this year....We went immediately corona just ended, the officer we met at the entrance said capturing hasn’t started...that we should come back in two weeks....dude was just hammering on the 40k...that he can’t take less...

The day we went back..the thing was taking too long and because my guy wanted to return to Lokoja the same day...we gave him another 7k...come and seehow this guy byepass everyone for us...we got there 9:30....passport don ready by 12:04.....

Wnt it implicate him? My agent did my state of origin nd i realised its fake when i saw someone that got the original. I never knew they do fake birth certificate also.
