Unfortunately, these 80m people without reliable electricity are still forced to pay estimated billing. They are forced to pay for darkness. They are forced to repair or replace electricity distribution equipment in their environments even when power distribution companies are private owned. They are arrested if they protest against injustices. Laws are made by the legislature to protect these power distribution companies instead of the people they represent. This is why #BuhariMustGo and #SarsMustgo 63 Likes 1 Share |

You mean that the government wants to borrow another $2.5bn in a country where everything has been borrowed and stolen by few. So we haven't just overtaken India in poverty level but also number of people without access to electricity. We're approximately 200ml people and 80ml are without electricity which represents about 40% of our population. The 120ml people also share majority of their day with darkness. Who exactly did we offend as a people? 4 Likes |
