North is over represented in NAAS. Too many states were created in northern Nigeria. That gave rise to too many legislators for northern Nigeria at the NASS. What is NASS restructuring? Stop deceiving yourselves. Get a National Conference with members equally drawn from the 3 regions that formed Nigeria to restructure Nigeria politically. |

Amah70:Who will choose the people from the 3 regions? Why 3 regions? Is Nigeria only about 3 ethnic groups? Stop deceiving yourself, no NASS is changing anything, if you want a new constitution, let the Military take over the Federal Government for the next 7 years, they will draft a new constitution for you, anything other than that, you are wasting your time. 2 Likes 1 Share |

AlphikkaTech:it should be done in a way that both south and north can develop accordingly, agriculture must be revived. In a sane country money that is gotten from oil is used to develop other sectors that can generate money for the states but in Nigeria money is generated for only the pocket of many northern leaders in few southern leaders those Buffalos 2 Likes |

King44:The free Federal allocation money from the Federal Government received by your state Governor in the last 5 years has he published an auditory report to show the people how the money was spent?, keep chasing shadows, which sector of your state economy has your Governor diversified & promoted? Chiedu4Trump: Too much hatred for the North for no just cause, and the North is not reciprocating the hate. I believe by the time everybody goes his separate ways, your eyes will also clear, as to who your real enemy is. |

engrfaruq:The chiedu4trump people that are shouting go separate ways have nothing, they are hoping on the resources of the Niger Delta people, who begged the colonialist to free them from the grips of Ibo people with the capital in Enugu, it took the intervention of the Military under Yakubu Gowon in 1967 to achieve those dreams by breaking up the regions & creating states, now this selfish, tormented Ipob generation wants The Niger Delta people ( Cross Rivers, Rivers, Akwa ibom, & parts of Bayelsa States) to go back to their slavery? It is unfortunate that the only way any NIGERIAN can be successful is by going to another country. This concept is backed by available facts in all facet of life be it sport, politics, technology, education etc. Check the whole world, Nigerians are one of the greatest. They only achieve these greatness by moving outside the country. If you take sports for instance, our boys are just marvellous. However, if any of these boys have remained in Nigeria, the talents would have died with them. It means our greatest challenge is leadership. Our leaders do not understand what leadership entails. Infact, if you ask any of the so called leaders from the president to the local government chairman about their job today, they will probably tell you their major job is to fight corruption. However, if you review their activities, you will realize they originate, promote, support and manage corruption by most of their acts. Infact, the so called leaders are a product of corruption. What is corruption by the way. Corruption is the act of taking undue advantage of a system to enable the corrupt person to directly or indirectly and unfairly benefit from the system. If we all agree to this definition, then we will realise that from the president to the least person holding political office is fantastically corrupt. The result is bad governance with all sorts of negative indices and unimaginable poverty. This is the stage we are in Nigeria today. We only have an option today. Either we stop the deceit by the political office holders and go for good governance where everyone is giving a fair opportunity according to his capacity to develop and enjoy the good of the land or in some few years to come, Nigeria is erased from the map of the world. 1 Like |

King44: That's never going to happen because the people to make such laws are the ones benefitting from it. And besides 90% of youth are praying to enter there and chop their own. Like I said the change must start from the people. Not protesting against something u secretly wish u are the one benefitting from 1 Like 1 Share |

The call for restructure is a twin to the call to end SARS in Nigeria. The silly calls are political gimmicks designed by Nigerian elites to divert attention from the main problem which is Nigeria. Nigerian elites have found a way to keep their lineages in control of Nigeria by sending their wards to universities in UK and USA while frustrating the path to academic success in Nigeria. A Nigerian can only be a beneficiary of the resources in the country only through the magnanimity of the elites or being lucky hustler. |
