Lorian Synaro of Anonymous, an international 'hacktivist' one of the people behind OPNigeria revealed in a chat with iAfrika the motive behind the OP movement.

According to data obtained by MANDYNEWS, Lorian Synaro has previously participated in #OpCongo, #OpZimbabwe, #OpSudan and other countries. 

Mr Lorian said they are 4 people taking part in the hacktivism movement, Anonymous and it was launched to help the people.

For the past 24hours, Nigeria's government websites started becoming intermittently inaccessible as a result of a DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attack and protest by Anonymous.

According to Wikipedia, "DoS attack is a cyber-attack in which the perpetrator seeks to make a machine or network resource unavailable to its intended users by temporarily or indefinitely disrupting services of a host connected to the Internet."

"Anonymous has basically hit all websites that the Nigerian government owns. Don't let these cyber antics drown out voices in the streets," Lorian Synaro wrote on Twitter.

So far Anonymous movement, OPNigeria has hacked multiple Nigerian Government's websites in support of #EndSARS.

Lorian Anonymous: Yes, I am linked to the global Anonymous movement. Anonymous is not [a] group, it's an idea. So I can't really say what is my role within Anonymous. I am just doing my best to help in operations and fight injustices.

What is the aim of the DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attack?

The DDoS attacks aim to shut down the targeted website or server as a form of protest.
We do it in government sites and banks to help the people. These attacks are coordinated and we are like 4 people taking part in it.

Do you or anyone involved have any political links globally or anywhere in Africa?

No, we don't have any political links globally or in Africa.

Are any other planned attacks specific to African organisations or countries?
Yes, all the corrupt Afrikan countries are also our target. 

I wanna say that those attacks are not to harm the people. Some medias and people want to show us as criminals but we are not. We are only fighting for freedom.
