Police also have rules too, such has stop and search undecided But is searching your phone and laptop part of the rule

It depends on the church. I once attended a much talked about church on the mainland. As they sang, I decided to record the song. I've never heard it before and I really liked it. My plan was to listen to it later at home. I've done this severally in my own church with no issues.

The second I pulled out my phone and began recording, someone tapped me from behind and informed me it was not allowed in that church. I quickly respected myself before they usher me out. So yeah, churches differ

Some churches are against using of mobile phones while service is going on. They say it is a distraction, others say they don't want you to record the activities of the church.

But in the spirit of #EndSARS campaign, it is human rights abuse to try to seize someone's phone. The right thing should be to send the person out of the church or get police order to confiscate any phone used during service inside the church.

If non of these were done, then we can simply say the #EndSARS campaign is to enlighten Nigerians to always do the right thing. Whether police, politicians, pastors, teachers, doctors, lawyers, custom, lecturers, students.

Everyone, endeavour to do the right thing!

This thing is now a norm I my church, Infact we have people that their work is just to seize phones, they are called protocol Marshals. Sometimes if you are stubborn not to give them your phone, they will invite other Marshals and 3 or 4 of them will start fighting you right inside the church!

Makes no sense that an Usher will forcefully grab the property of a church member, he could have just told her that apart from Bible and notepad on your phone, there is no reason why you should press your phone in church or rather just excuse her out of the church if she was being negligent or violent.

Some women Dey carry their dirty room habits come church. I once sat in front of 2 ladies at a night vigil. These ladies were chewing gum and gossiping all through the night that it affected my concentration; they were just right at my back, cracking gum and Making noise. the guys sitting close to them just SIMPly kept quiet. I had to scold them before they kept their voice low almost when the vigil was ending.

Very wrong. Church is a clinic where different people comes, for different purpose and reasons. So, the usher should have mind his business, and just call the lady in question to order politely, not by trying to seize her. Na n papa buy phone for her.
