My only problem with the protest is, it has not bite anything on the government. We need a protest that will actually shut down everything. And I mean everything. A protest that will cut oil and gas export by 50%, a protest that will shut down all international airports, a protest that will block our maritime waterways, a protest that will lockdown all major road arteries. Until we hit the solid bottom, a protest that will drive us back to the basis....."The constitution". That is the protest that will define the black race. That is the protest that will let the world know that black people have come of age. All these pockets of protest are dress rehearsal to what is to come.
Government may succeed in quenching this one, but the idea has already been birthed. This to me is 50% battle won.

The protest is now dead and buried with the declaration of curfew. You don't ground economic activities in states, block major high ways, burn down police stations and kill police officers and still believe you are carrying out civil protests. The youths missed a golden opportunity to constructively engage the government to bring about lasting reform of our security formations. The whole struggle was completely turned into a display of rascality rather than showcase of ideas by the supposedly leaders of tomorrow. The police force mirrors how we are as a country; insisting and achieving its reform without bringing in other political issues could have been the best. You have to count 1 before getting to 2 and progress in that order. There is never going to be a quick fix to Nigeria complex problems.
