It will be best if you ask this question on LG G8 Reddit forum cos I don't use an AT&T variant.

According to the SS I posted earlier, activation is self done.

For rooting, join the LG V40 group on telegram. They will be able to answer any question on rooting cos they have Devs there.

Thanks for the tips and all but now it seems I got two options.

Either I send my device to China for unlocking or I wait for firehose to leak before this year runs out just to unlock my device...

Don't get the at&T variant if you haven't. The AT&T variant needs the SIM to get OS update. But if u have the SIM, go ahead.

PS: yes, it can be network unlocked.

Only way is to get the AT&T sim or if u are using older model of lg phones u can cross flash or unlock the bootloader

If u are used to ebay, it will see the grade of the phone, but u can get it locally from bobo65 or caldon, but try and avoid AT&T variants

Finally got my lg g6.
The only issue I have is the single Sim, or tho 2sim fits but it only displays one Sim.
Is there any way I can make it accepte 2 Sim?
