I think Tinubu's major crime was aligning his region with the north, especially when it was clear the candidate was an unpopular choice among the whole of the south. That single bad judgement has plunged the country into chaos and the whole south is losing seriously.

Borders has been shut in the south, Lagos and Ogun borders are shut while all northern borders are open and in serious illegal business.

Tinubu can rescue himself if he can return to his people of the south and take steps to correct some things that might make them look at him as a northern puppet. All other southern politicians who are deemed to be northern puppets are not exempted.
