Venza is going out of brand, go for the Lexus Rx 350, it holds class than a Venza.

Don't forget to carry out a ViNcheck...

How does a simple brake job turn to scanning, and connecting to ford?

I am not sure how it all started or what condition the car was when you bought it , but could you explain what the issue is, It took me 8 years of use to finally change the brakes of the ford.

You need not go sentimental on this issue. Go to google and type "Ford edge brake pedal goes to the floor" and read about it.

The fix on this issue is what I am talking about.
I wouldn't talk about other issue like PTO oil seal leaks issue, water pump weephole leak issues, ecoboost engine fire issues.

I am not being sentimental but facing issues as they are.
If a brake master cylinder has failed then it will be replaced.Ford Makolulo(?) Advices that the PTU should be serviced every 30000 miles or earlier. Water pump failure start with a leak at the weep hole before it leaks into your engine, and the new revision fixes this problem with wear on the internal sprocket of the water pump.
Water pump was not in the best place for easy service but guarantee dealership business. Water pump requires a good coolant and it is expected to be replaced after about 100000 miles on all cars, remember it was a 60k interval repair with timming belt, not that they are using chains, it can fail after certain mileage so the miantenance schedule will say inspect every time after a certain mileage. Ecoboost fire is a new one I am not aware of and for any engine to light up, something got hotter that the coolant temperature was set to allow

Brake cylinder is NOT the problem, it's well documented online. It's the combination of everything. Go to YouTube. It's there, go to car complaints it's there. Even ford had to recall over 500,000 ford edges to fix these from 2015 upwards.

Ecoboost fire is well documented online. Do your research properly.

The PTO seal leaks isn't due to non adherence to OCI, so also the coolant leaks which grenades the engine. I know these vehicles very much cos I was opportune to handle a fleet of these vehicles which belonged a organization. It's very common occurrence.

Then you are very right in your opinion I do agree with you but not strong enough to recommend Toyota.

OP since you are still open to advice, buy a 2012 Grand Cherokee Limited 4x4 and you will be fine the pentastar engine with the 5 speed transmission works well.

If I go to Ghana and find out they mostly drive chevrolets, na chevrolet I dey buy oo. No time. Parts go dey and mechanic wey go fix am go dey plenty.
If you have budget for aunty radu workshop, hell, you can also buy a range rover. Your money, your choice.
