Xscape1993:Looting is the pleasure that comes with pain. Protest is the anger that comes with pain. They both work hand in hand. When you’re comfortable you protest but when you’re not you loot. Those that eat from hand to mouth are the ones they use to Shawn you during the times you need to excise you civic responsibilities. Change comes with pain and everyone will have a story to tell. 5yrs they are preaching change and the economy is sinking. Just small 2wks of unrest someone people dey talk like say them dey blind since birth and their ears dey deaf too. I stand for Change and the unrest that comes with it. Like they say, the fight we are fighting is the war the politicians have put on ground waiting for it to manifest. War comes with pain and it signifies that WAR = We All Regret. Las las after all we go enjoy if the necessary change comes and every children will be proud to say my parents are heroes. |

DenreleDave:I think the Feminism Coalition should use the remaining 80 million naira they planned to embezzle to compensate the victims of all these robberies in all the States where privates shops and malls were looted. Because, when I looked at how they planned to spend the remaining 80 million naira, all I saw was a scam. The remaining funds will be channeled through the following initiatives/organizations: |

juman:How? After disarming them? Dehumanising the decent among them? Embarrassing them? Setting kidnappers and armed robbers free after all the wahala to arrest and prosecute? Imagine if the likes of Evans were released from the prisons in Benin? Or if Evans himself and his group members were set free in kirikiri? The real security anarchy will unfold gradually bro. Dark days lie ahead. Let's all be very cautious. |

ProfAmaben:Burning innocent people's properties, even burning govt offices or BRT buses is just stupidity. It doesnt affect the govt, rather it even gives people in govt genuine opportunities to loot more in the guise of rebuilding. The only people at the receiving end of the massacre are still the ordinary citizens. frowland:Unfortunately, we have too many people, including educated fellows, who dont know yhis. |

DesChyko:Why deny the truth in clear evidence? We got report that a woman and her daughter were shot dead right inside Twinsfaja supermarket in Ikotun axis where the went to loot. In Cross rivers state we saw women running towards the warehouse holding palliatives. What about Ilorin? Did you not see that? Can you call women wearing hijab and running away from a warehouse an ordinary protester? Please shine your eyes well when you look at the videos, except you just want to be mischievious. |

In the final analysis, WHAT EXACTLY HAVE WE GAINED FROM THE EVENTS OF THE PAST TWO WEEKS? Have we gained more than we have lost of is the reverse the case? The protesters messed a great opportunity up by failing to recognize when the fruits were ripe. They didn't harvest and let the fruits rot on the tree. Their online supporters thought *having no clear leadership in the protests* was a good thing, alas, that was their greatest undoing. It was only a matter of time before criminals took over, and they did. Now we are where we are today. When are we ever gonna get this sort of opportunity to come together enmass and speak to power? When? Would these businessmen and their families and extended families lend their voices? Wouldn't they rather be skeptical calling for another protest is simply calling for a smokescreen to re-loot and vandalize their businesses? Oh, Nigerians! |
