Babajide Kolade-Otitoju, Host of Journalist Hangout on TVC has denied ever saying "those that burnt down TVC could not speak yoruba"


He said, "My attention has been drawn to a Facebook post which has been shared multiple times in which the author claimed I said those who came to burn TVC could not speak Yoruba. The author claimed I said that during the special edition of Journalists Hangout yesterday.
This is absolute falsehood. I never said so. I didn't witness the burning so how could I have been trying to determine the ethnicity and lingo of the arsonists/looters?

It was my colleague, Adekunle Yusuf who reported that those who burned The Nation could not speak Yoruba and could not immediately locate the newspaper's headquarters. Please disregard that lying post.

I watched the special edition, he didn't say it, it's the other journalist mentioned.

It is quite pathetic how some persons are quickly turning this protest into an ethnic thing.
Nigerians irrespective of their tribes and religious afflictions came out to protest against police brutality, and now people are spinning this to fit into and further their parochial interests.
