My 8 months Caucasian mixed breed doesn’t bark at all... Any advice please

I own my apartment, Just me, my gate man and my woman. The dog doesn’t park at new faces or strangers.

Chain him constantly at the back of the compound. For like 2 months, he will start barking and his sense of security will activate.

Thank you so much, since two weeks now I have been releasing her only night then day time put her in the cage. Any time she sees strangers she will just be looking and whining her tay.

She used to bark at me when ever I covered myself with duvet to scare her but if she see humans she won’t bark at them.

OK at least I've verified that her vocal chords are still in tact. Try attacking something, like shouting at something More in a human form and see if she'll join in the chorus. I've seen some dogs that wouldn't attack strangers unless their owners raises an alarm.

she sees a need to defend herself, that means she knows what she's doing and there's a reason she's not barking at strangers.

How can I figure out the reason she’s not barking at humans? So that I can stop it to make her start barking at strangers

isolate her. Keep her away from everyone, you should be the only one that will attend to her.

Am in Benin city, No body attend to her just me, and sometimes my gate man, When she was 7 weeks old till she’s 8months I don’t release her, she have always been in her cage until 2 weeks ago when I started leaving her in the compound because I stay alone but despite she have always been in the cage she still doesn’t bark at strangers

then I guess it's just her nature. some dogs are just like that. But if you know a good training centre, you can take her there. They'll teach her how to obey commands, that way you can teach her to be territorial.

Or better still buy another active dog that can bark very well.

She's still a puppy and growing up late. When she will start to bark and attack, you will be seeking for help. Just wait a little longer

Am in Benin also, some dogs are naturally late bloomers, when dey start, it won't b easy to control, some are triggers, something might just trigger it, I know of a friend's dogs, very funny and lazy dogs, but when the wife died, it was as if the dogs where aware, dey turned to something else... Even my friend bcame scared of His dogs... So just relax, her trigger might come during heat, when she gives birth, or all of a sudden. Just get an active male dog...
