BEING THE STATEMENT RELEASED BY THE GENERAL SECRETARY OF KOSOKO ROYAL FAMILY OF LAGOS, PRINCE SIKIRU ADEOYE KOSOKO

_KOSOKO ROYAL FAMILY OF LAGOS CONDEMN THE INVASION & LOOTING OF THE PALACE OF OBA OF LAGOS. _

The Kosoko Royal Family of Lagos hereby commiserate with the families of those innocent souls who unfortunately lost their lives during the peaceful end sars protest at Lekki Admiralty Toll Gate on 20th October 2020.

Whilst commiserating with these families, the Kosoko Royal Family equally condemn in strong terms the senseless and criminally-minded attack, invasion and looting of the Palace of the Oba of Lagos at Idunganran Street by some hooligans carting away the “Opa Ase" and other historical artifacts and heritage of Lagos.

As members of the Lagos Royal Family, we view the Palace invasion as evil, disrespectful and an unwarranted affront to our tradition and cultural heritage. As such and in order to bring about desired peace in Lagos State, we strongly appeal to our well-meaning youths to kindly engage and dialogue with the State government in order to bring about an enduring resolution of their demands.

Finally, we urge the Lagos State Government to conduct a thorough investigation and bring the perpetrators of this evil act to book , as this will deter others who might seek to perpetrate such egregious act in the future.

Everyone should condemn evil

that's not evil, the oba is known for doing the bidding of politicians neglecting the Lagos island people . his family should take heart.
Let the other reasonable royal family take over from there.
A king without his staff is that one king?
I'm sure the staff will be with their elders, they might be waiting to crown a reasonable king.

After all he use political influence to become king in the first place so he should go and sit down as retired police officer .

I like the maturity & utmost nobility of Kosoko royal family.

Despite the evil of the British to short change them in the 1850s, they still see the sanctity of Idugaran Palace as imperative for peace.

This is a sign that the OBA is not the rightful one
