Nigeria is one of the strange countries where the military play internal roles in her governance. And it has never turned out well.

Can you imagine any civilized society where seeing a soldier, not just seeing one, but soldiers in day to day running of civilian activities is rampant? Until this country is demilitarised, we are still running in circles.

Within next 10 years now, Buratai will start campaigning to be a president, not because he meant well for the nation. Rather simply because he has allegedly stolen and needs to steal more from the country.

Nigeria Army you all need reorientation!

Nigeria armed forces are used as internal forces to protect and sustain the skewed political structure under unitary government system established by northern soldiers.

Is that the job of the military?
They should face the north particularly bornu state where they have fruitlessly been unable to outsmart and wipe out those terrorists!
It can be likened to someone whose house is on fire but is trying to put out fire in another building!
No day passes by without the sad news about the frequent carnage which has lately included the army!

Buratai doesn’t even know his schedule of duty. By the way, since Nigerian Army moved to the South to start killing innocent children, insurgents have paused in the North. Soldiers of damnation!

This kind of orders will throw Nigeria into a state of war soon. I don't know what exactly is happening but soldiers are supposed to keep the nation safe from external enemy forces and not pitch the army against ordinary citizens. Nigerian youths made a terrible mistake voting in dictator Buhari. Now we can all see the consequences of that terrible decision.

What you see in America is the National Guard Unit, they appear in rare cases, as I believe you are aware of.

In which country do you see the army mounting road blocks almost in every stretch of the roads? From SW to SE, they are ubiquitous. They even go to the extent of collecting money, extortion.

Do you assume what we find i n Nigeria to be normal?

The US National guard is military, as I clearly stated before. They were called in to support an overwhelmed civilian force just as it happens in Nigeria. The only difference is the frequency of the deployment in Nigeria; and its basically because our police is short staffed in relation to our National population.

The ubiquitous army checkpoints were mounted as a result of the boko haram war. Any country battling an internal war has such military checkpoints.

The extortion is a national embarrasment and also a systemic problem with the entire country.

Virtually all govt agencies in Nigeria extort the vulnerable masses. The police and military own is particularly distastful because of the disciplined role they are supposed to play and also because they bear arms.

The army is busy hunting for unarmed civilians while boko haram which should be the army's major target is busy ravaging the country. When will Nigeria mature?

Nigerian army are fond of abusing their powers. How fan you be repeatedly flogging a civilian because he committed offence. Army hold no responsibility in arresting or punishing deterrent civilians. Allow the police to arrest them and prosecute them in relevant court of law.

Na army turn be next. No armed force dey honorable and prestigious like Navy and Airforce.
ur mumu3neva do? The police you've all killed.stop assuming ds is US.wat can a police do in Nigeria dt will be good in ur eye. I support d army statement 100pxent, let d hoodlums b killed instant.

What concerns Nigerian Army with internal democracy?

They're meant to resist external aggression against forces like boko haran.

What are civil defence doing?

Tasking his men on their responsibility, Buratai admonished that none of the PSOs, GOCs, Field Commanders and other officers and soldiers of the NA should be afraid of the ICC for carrying out their legitimate duties as stated in the Constitution and other extant laws, rules, and regulations.

Na now una wan start after those thieves don carry people properties finish??

In Uyo, they didn't even near any politicians house, they waited for location of hoarded paliatives, dem nor see, next thing those thieves took to the roads and stole business properties

Imagine breaking into LG showroom and carting away with EVERYTHING inside, TVs, fridges, fans, TV stands, you name it! they emptied the place!
Broke into a mall, cold stone, access banks, boutiques, tecno phone shop, etc.

I really do not know why the things happening in Uyo are underreported.

We are reaching a consensus small small. The mounting of roadblocks has been there in the South even before Shekau knew that Boko Haram will be in existence. Or else you don't know anything about the southern part of Nigeria.

I don't think there is any civilized society where the military is used as in Nigeria. You can even call your military friends to come to my house and bully me, and they will stupidly assemble in my street wearing their uniform. For land dispute they appear, for market you see them. Even for Delta you see them in the streets operating for Asaba, I'm yet to see Boko Haram there.

Nigeria Army due to their actions in Nigeria is a disgrace to what a national military should be. Till they change for better, they still are.
