GENCOS-TRANCOS-DISCOS
The gencos and discos are not the problem....the capacity of the trancos is 5000MW!
So even if the Gencos generate a capacity of 50000MW,it will still not translate into more power at the Discos simple because the Trancos are limited to 5000MW!
When they fix the transmission capacity, then there is hope!

It sounds wonderful...until you realize that, as at ten years ago, it was estimated that Lagos needed 10000MW alone.

The truth is, we need far more than 13000MW. 13000 MW is not enough to sustain us.

Only way we can do it...make generating power profitable in Nigeria. We cannot generate power at N53 per kwh...and sell it at N28 per kwh and expect enough profit to repair and expand power supply infrastructure.

Yeah, I have been following the Siemens/Nigeria power deal and I have a lot faith in them especially after learning that they did something similar in Egypt and the power grid there is among the best in Africa
