Police arrest 11yr old boy who allegedly attacked a police station and declared himself IGP in Edo
The Edo State Police Command has allegedly arrested an 11-year-old over his alleged involvement in the attack on a police station at Evbuotubu area of Benin City by hoodlums.
Recall that hoodlums took advantage of the
# EndSARS protest to attack Oba Market Police, Ugbekun Police Station, Idogbo Police station last Monday and carted away arms and ammunitions at the armoury as well as police uniforms and other valuables.
According to Human Rights Advocate, Kola Edokpayi and senior News reporter with the Edo Broadcasting Service, Festus Alenkhe, stated that the young boy was arrested for allegedly joining the gang of hoodlums that attacked Oba Market police station.
After the attack, the boy was said to have worn the uniform of a police sergeant and declared himself as the Inspector General of Police (IGP).He then went about in Benin metropolis bragging about his new status while most of his peers hailed and clapped for him.He was subsequently arrested, paraded and will be arraigned in a juvenile court soon.

The shameless CP should not have paraded this minor as he did, he wasn't masked and the unprofessional CP is not bothered about that.

The level of unprofessionalism of Nigerian Police Officers from the highest to the lowest rank is nothing to write home about, they need to be properly trained and re-oriented.

Coming from a police that has displayed Eba and goat as suspect in the past , I would say this is an improvement

Let's stop blaming parents for children's misbehavior. You can't be following your child 24/7. He might have followed from school or somewhere else. The parents might not even know anything about Social Media.
I know of an apprentice like that, that followed hoodlums when the boss was out. He was killed by a stray bullet where they wanted to burn a building. An area that is up to 2 hrs drive or more from where he lived. It was very shocking.
