Some people have suggested that the hoodlums responsible for the violence in Oyingbo during the EndSars crisis, could actually be thugs armed by Wike during his second term election campaign, and not really IPOB members as he would want people to believe.

Like most Nigerian politicians, Wike recruited these hoodlums, gave them arms and after the elections, he lost control over them, hence they turned to miscreants. Most of them are angry that the governor abandoned them and might have been waiting for an opportunity to vent their anger against the governor, then, the EndSars protest happened.

Instead of Wike to face these hoodlums directly and look for ways to settle them and disarm them - because, if they are monsters, he created them - Wike rather saw in IPOB, not just a scapegoat, but also another good political bargaining chip. He labelled IPOB terrorists and put all the blames for the violence in Rivers on them. This would sound good to the same Abuja people, he would tell us he doesn't care about.

Soldiers have been unleashed on Oyingbo, and anyone who smokes something or looks like he could foment some trouble is at the risk of being gunned down, at the slightest provocation. This is beyond sad, and coming from a Wike whom some of us saw some hope in as a slight departure from the usual daft wickedness of our leaders, is more heartbreaking.

Seriously, will we hear the end of this? First it was that Hausa people are responsible, then that it was a peaceful protest, and then that it is the military that caused it, now its the thugs armed by Wike

But we also have listened to an audio clip where Nnamdi ordered his guys to attack and burn anyone in their way, and there's a video with him ordering his guys to find security guys and execute them.
