I was at the bank today when an elderly man probably in his 60's started to complain about the hot unforgiving sun where we lined up to witdraw.My response to his complaint triggered series of outbursts from him until he started lamenting regrettably about how hard it is to exist in Nigeria at this present moment and I compassionately listened intently to him while he narrated about the Nigeria he met in the 1960s.
I was almost moved to tears when he talked about how strong the Nigerian currency was to the extent that he paid "20 naira" to write his WAEC exam or whatever name it was called as at that period adding to the fact that withdrawing money from a financial institution was not a thug of war as it is today.He narrated how he got a job the on the day of his first job hunt with his first school leaving certificate while his grown up children with masters certificate are feeding from his palms.As we continued our discussion he exposed the fact that the misery of Nigeria as a nation started when buhari took over power as a military head of state almost running the nation to the ground before Ibrahim babangida who could not watch situations deteriorate took over as many were ravaged by the hunger virus as we have it today.
We rounded up the discussion on the fact that Nigerians never learn from history and will keep making the same decisions that will always bring the nation to the same set of problem.To my greatest surprise i received the shock of my life when the seemingly responsible and gentleman said disintegration of the British experiment called Nigeria is the the first step towards revolution.

I met an old woman 3 years ago. She told me when she used to join political campaigns in times of Akintola and Awolowo. Some of her children are in abroad. She used to visit them. She said Nigeria has spoilt beyond repair.

It is structural problem. Nobody can fix nigeria in its present structure . The foundation is faulty. No point in accusing anybody.
