You made a very good point, but the question is: Where was Thiago when Mendy, a keeper kept bailing Zouma.

Zouma runs the defensive errands, charging players with marking, attack, risk long passes and all that, while Thiago who's suppose to be the last man leader keep messing up by leaving Mendy to bail Zouma. Check the likes of VVd, Puyol, Kompany, Terry and Ramos. They have similar roles with Thiago- cordinate and lead as a last man, you'll have them to contend with before meeting keepers. Can same be said of Thiago?

The thing is, we just want some players to do well, so we hype them when they do. Zouma to me, takes more percentage of the work in that central defense.
