Nigeria as we know is home to hundreds of different ethnic groups with distinct languages, cultures and norms.... We are also divided along religious lines and more...
These divisions constitute one of the major reasons the country has been unable to thrive...
Kindly state what the power tussle between various tribes, religions e.t.c is like in your State...
Abia State
The main Power Tussle in Abia is between the Ngwas and the Ohuhu...
These two blocs are igbo but with different dialects and norms...
The power tussle between this two blocs have bn a major reason for the regression of the state...
What is it like in your state?
Happy new month to everyone...

The power tussle in Kaduna is caused by El rufai trying to bastardize all ancient traditional institutions which owns Kaduna. El rufai has been instigating the people of northern Kaduna to fight the Christians in southern Kaduna.

This fight has resulted in the death of over 20 000 southern Kaduna people massacred on their land.

That is the power tussle where I live.

Power tussle?

Have you talked about the one in Katsina state where fulani bandits are trying to kill off all the hausa land owners? I heard the death toll there is over a thousand this year alone.

That's what you guys should be talking about.

There is no power tussle in Anambra state and Canada.

They are all Christians and living to Christian norms of unity, peace and love as the state is a christian state.

What is obtainable there are just Political parties respecting the zoning Interest and pursuing the interest of their respective candidates.

The power tussle in the state is who will overdo good more than others and serve Jesus Christ in knowledge and truth.

Abuja will definitely fare better cos its the seat of power and I guess the owners of the land are not very active in politics...

True but the issue in abia is very foolish...i just don't understand the tussle between ngwa and others.. back in secondary school days. ..it was always a heated argument between which of the two groups are better and these issues influence elections as well...
Ngwas voted in okezie for a second tenure not because he's better than Alex but just coz he's ngwa...
Imagine Alex also has roots in ngwaland but people ignored him due to sentiment...these are issues plaguing Nigeria .... divisions and hate everywhere

Nobody has died in the so called Ngwa and others fights. Thousands has died in the fulani vs others tussle.

We should learn to accord priority to where is hotter.

Wow...thanks for shedding light on this... only parliamentary system will help us where power isn't concentrated on one singular person who's only after working for his own interests and people while neglecting others ..
Nigerian politicians are fond of neglecting other blocs in favor of theirs.

This is not about priority because there's nothing we can do as average citizens for now...its just shedding light on issues in different places...
There's no violence here in abia regarding such issues but these issues are pulling us backwards.... imagine being denied jobs and other things because u ain't from a particular place...its really disheartening...
Solving issues in kaduna will only happen when Nigeria is restructured...by then each regional government will put on their thinking caps and avoid senseless violence

Aper Aku did mighty great works, he is Tiv. Akume didnt do badly, gave the medical college, opened up Judge's Quarters and Terwase Agbadu areas, delivered up to 70% of the work in teaching hospital, opened up Achusa axis, constructed alot of streets in town and rehabilitated roads, refurbished Aper Aku stadium, opened up industrial layout, electrified many rural communities (though Suswam did more in this regard including the construction of rural roads).

I had to mention these things because you said the Tivs have done nothing in terms of governance in the state. Notwithstanding, there's a lot more they could have achieved.

Now, the reason I don't subscribe to the idea of Idomas bashing Tivs for refusing to relinquish power to them is because they're doing to us, Igedes, exactly what they complain the Tivs are doing to them!

From the begining of time to this day, ALL senators and ministers representing Zone C, comprising all the Idoma and Igede LGAs have been Idomas! This makes it super hypocritical for them to complain about the conduct of Tivs as regards politics and power.

This is the reason I've always stood against the idea of Apa state as canvassed by Mark. We'd end up being treated the same way Tivs are treating everyone else in the state.
