How Does One Overcomes This Problem? by reccy(op): 7:31am On Nov 01, 2020
You are in charge of a number of junior staff, your immediate superior often criticize individual junior in full hearing of other employees. How would you try to overcome such unpleasant episode?

Please help me with any reasonable and manageable solutions to this. A brother needs it.

Your question stems from Management of crisis in the workplace and therefore has no straight cut answer as the solution varies from one org to the other, and from one level to the other.
Before, we proceed, what kind of criticism? Is based on their work output, attitude to work, or on their private lives?

If based on the first two, it is an indictment on the part of your brother's failure to take his job serious and so his immediate Superior has to fill in the gap.

Now, let's look at what leads to such actions:
The "immediate Superior" is answerable to another Superior. He is expected to churn out output and bring in higher productivity, of course, through the Juniors.

2. Your brother need to approach his Superior for enlightenment. Go with a prepared questionnaire. Ready and willing to take "insults" and open to more criticism. This time, he will learn what he has been missing or not doing well

3. He should not see his immediate Superior as being wicked. In the workplace we are dealing with so many persons from different backgrounds and training. Therefore, he has to learn how to cope
