Please someone help me with my question below:

I have 2years and 4months experience without NYSC and I have two certificates. I don't know if I should do IELTS and enter the pool fast before the French speakers enter the pool.

I cant use my NYSC because I wasnt paid by the company and I also have 5months of internship at another company that I can add but the problem is with the NOC. I was a customer service representative/Teller and that is not in NOC 0, A or B.

Please what should I do?
Should I wait till my current job reaches 3years to apply which is June next year or should I do my IELTS and apply in march or april?

ielts expires after 2 years. Do it now as you dont even know if you will pass at once. For nysc you got allawe that is sufficient

Thank you.

Will they send a mail to the company's mail or HR to confirm?
Because I didn't really take the job too seriously then but I can get a reference letter from my supervisor and ID with my posting letter and acceptance letter.

I just don't want the HR to give me a bad review or something.

or will they just send the mail to my supervisor instead?

Basically I just want to know who they will contact to verify.

Please take my comments with a pinch of salt seeing as I’m not a VO and I may well be wrong.

Comments in red below…both JDs are being compared to NOC 6314. The difference between 6314 and 1212 in my opinion is the type of staff you supervise. 1212 generally looks like banking staff while 6314 seems to be specific to customer service related folks. Pls review the 2 lead statements and decide which one fits you. I personally do not think tellers are customer service people, but again I may be mistaken here. Remember you are matching duties as well as lead statements.

1212 – Supervisors, finance and insurance office workers - Supervisors of finance and insurance office workers supervise and co-ordinate the activities of workers in the following unit groups: Accounting and related clerks (1431), Payroll administrators (1432), Banking, insurance and other financial clerks (1434) and Collectors (1435).

6314 – Customer and information services supervisors - Customer and information services supervisors supervise and co-ordinate the activities of workers in the following unit groups: Customer service representatives – financial institutions (6551) and Other customer and information services representatives (6552).

Ps: I don’t have the answers…….I’m like the psychologist or shrink that asks 1,000 questions that hopefully lead you to discovering the answers yourself. Hope this helps. Good luck!

hevbi:

@Mamaroon, thanks for the feedback. have adjusted as requested. kindly find below.

I used Job description of NOC 6314 for both positions . I also observed JD for NOC 1212 is identical to NOC 6314.

Position: Cash & Teller Services Supervisor (APRIL 2014- APRIL 2018) IN A BANK

5 out of 7/8 NOC duties. Check if there are any duties from the NOC that you have missed out. Also check with other NOCs to see if the ratio of matching duties higher. Please review the NOC again in case they are some duties that you perform but have missed out of your JD e.g. number 6 from the NOC.

A. Cash management and vault custodian. --- non
B. Review and authorize financial entries (Deposit/fund transfer and withdrawal)- -- JD 1 ok
C. Co-ordinate the schedule of tellers and responsible for the overall performance on the job -JD 3 how come this is missing from your second job below?
D. Arrange for tellers to attend job related trainings on sales and product knowledge, conduct sessions (EMS) as organized by bank --- JD 5 ok, but I would say avoid acronyms, I don’t know what EMS is and a VO is unlikely to as well.
E Review and check for correctness of work done, supervise activities and ensuring that they are done in line with policy ---JD 2 ok
F Escalate customer issue and complaint, log on CRM to track case until the issue is resolved – non for 6314 you should be the person that your staff should be escalating customer issues to, no? What is CRM (see note above on acronyms)? Could the second part of this JD match with number 4 from the NOC?
G Engage customer to resolve their problem and to cross sell products --JD 4 I’m not so sure of this one, the assumption of 6314 is that you supervise people that do this, not that you are the one engaging the clients.

POSITION :Deputy Branch Service manager APRIL 2018 - DATE ( IN THE SAME BANK)

I’m not sure 4 out of 7/8 is a good ratio for meeting the criteria of “most of the NOC duties”. Check if there are any duties from the NOC that you have missed out. Also check with other NOCs to see if the ratio of matching duties higher. Please review the NOC again in case they are some duties that you perform but have missed out of your JD e.g. number 5 and 6 from the NOC.

A Communicating the goals of the unit to tellers, supervise and ensure alignment of the unit’s activities with the bank’s business objectives. --- JD 1 ok
B Supervising tellers and Funds Transfer Officers and Customer Service Officers to ensure delivery of superior service. ----- JD 2 I think this is more JD1
C Accessing the vault, ensuring correct cash balance in the vault and effective administration of vault in terms of adequacy and security of cash.---2 ok
D Supervising cash sorting and cash management services and ensuring that customers are attended to promptly. --- JD 2 ok
E. Ensuring maximum uptime of the branch ATM by loading machine with fit notes and regularly monitoring the cash levels as well as general functionality of the machine. --- JD 7 ok
F Reconciliation of the bank automated teller machines(ATM) and proofing of the branch general ledgers. JD4 ok
G Oversee preparation of monthly financial and branch progress reports. -- JD4 ok
H ensure immediate resolution of ATM challenges during on and off work hours. – JD7 ok

BELOW ARE THE JOB DESCRIPTIONS FOR NOC 6314 PULLED FROM NOC WEBSITE
Main duties
1.This group performs some or all of the following duties:
Co-ordinate, assign and review the work of clerks engaged in the following duties: providing information and customer service; and serving customers in banks, trust companies and other financial institutions
2..Examine and verify accuracy of work and authorize routine deposits and withdrawals
3.Establish work schedules and procedures and co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments
4 Resolve work-related problems and prepare and submit progress and other reports
5. Identify training needs and train workers in job duties and company policies
6. Requisition supplies and materials
7.Ensure smooth operation of computer systems and equipment and arrange for maintenance and repair work

please gurus and those with eagle eyes should help peruse and advise .thanks

.
I know a church member that used the business route, though he went to Calgary, Alberta. He’s an “egbon” so I can’t approach him for such info but this is the information I got when I was doing my findings

Canada Permanent residency by investment has the following cost structure

Ontario - $227,500
Manitoba - $187,500

Cost includes the investment cost (franchise) and the processing fees. processing period is between 8-11months

Hello House,

What would be the best route for a family of 5, Husband has more than 10 years work experience and still working with a masters degree, wife has a bachelors and worked as a teacher for one year and currently own her business doing well. 3 kids are still in primary school. They haven't taking IELTS.

What would you recommend or what program do you think will help them migrate to Canada on PR?

Thanks

I realized that I made a mistake in my EE profile. In the Education History section for the question 'Since what year', I entered the End date of my Master's degree and for 'Current study section' I entered 'Yes'.

I got the ITA, and while completing the detailed application I realized it should have been start date, and Current study section should have been 'No', since i have already completed it. And only when you select 'No' ,To Date field is generated, which should be the end date.

What should be my course of action, should i decline the ITA or should I mention this mistake in my LOE. Did anyone else faced similar problem?

You decline ITA when the errors made are material enough to reduce the points you claimed. In your situation that’s not the case.

They weren’t denied for misrepresentation as they were also told to reapply in the next 90 days.

Our concern is, is she going to state during Canada documentation that she was married before, since that was what they submitted while applying for US visa 6 years ago
I dont think you should lie, since the visa was rejected and it wasnt for misrepresentation, i think the info that will be shared is just if u have a criminal record and if u have been denied visa before, not the details of your ds160 form. I could be wrong tho, this is from the small investigation i have done, and remember that if your wife is the primary applicant, she will have to give details of her immediate familly

That cost is as at October 22nd 2020, inclusive of legal charges. This is first hand information. I was even shocked cos it’s cheap.

Note that it’s PR and not outright citizenship.

Hello PR applicants, how are doing?

Please a quick one: 1) I was a lab assistant NOC code 3212 for 3 and a half years. Please can this work experience be used? I have searched nairaland for this information but I found little info.
Apart from my online profile, payslips and reference letter from the matron in charge of the clinic. What else do I need?

I really appreciate your candid advice please.

Was she actually married at the time? Be careful about lying to cover up old lies. If she wasn't I don't see why you should say she was. Of course you will mention the denial and the reason. But if it was a legal marriage they did and they had to get a divorce, then I guess she would say she was married before. This is my opinion. Good luck

I hope you get the desired support to sort this out. However, I'd appeal to you to take all your related post down after you get your desired feedback. Remember this is a public space and it's stuff like these that could affect our integrity as a nation and future applications. Trust me, immigration officers go through these pages too

You can use your nysc experience. Also, your experience does not need to be law related, as long as it falls under NOC 0,A, B.
Yes, you can get your PR from here without passing Canadian Bar exam.
