blackboy:FG is just pocknosing in matter that does not concern them. IPPIS will not permit lecturers to do multiple jobs. They will be able to do state or federal jobs and not the two. Consider a department like Forest Resources and Wildlife in Eksu where they have limited lecturers and they often borrow lecturers from federal universities such as Unilorin and Futa. What will be the hope of such students. Another issue is that Fayemi came to worsen the case of EKSU by sacking over 900 staff including lecturers that are not enough before. Now imagine what will happen if they permit FG to use the stupid IPPIS platform they want to use. I thought they were ready to do ASUU's bidding during the end Sars protest. Bloody hypocrites |

Collinsemegreat:Did you know in the 60s Nigeria and UK have same population I.e around 50 million ( I saw this somewhere on this site) Now 2020 UK is still around 60 million while Nigeria is getting to 200 million. If not because of low taxes, socialism and unnecessary subsidies. Do you think Nigerians will breed like this. Pls let's be honest, even neighboring countries surrounding us don't waste that much resources on socialism like Nigeria. |

Elsueno:Now you know. FG stopped them by subsidizing education (paying tuition) so that an average nigerian would have access to tertiary education. But if it will stop this strike, then universities should go up to 600k. Schoolarship then should be given to the less privileged who qualify academically. It will stop the strike but its not possible. Most nigerian parents are poor. You talk about scholarship as if you don't know your darling country. ![]() That scholarship will be handled the same way admission is handled(quota system, tribalism and all those nigerian shits will come into play)which will kill the credibility of the scholarship. Besides, education is not supposed to be cheap. Enough of this chronic socialism we dey practice. If things costs as it should be. Maybe our population will even stop increasing exponentiallyYes. Education is expensive. But here we are already!. FG should do the needful. Settle the issue with ASUU and let students return to class. |

Collinsemegreat:Are our NASS and politicians satisfied despite looting billions? ASUU has done a good job in the university. But more needs to be done. If FG has been honoring their own part of the agreement, I'm sure strike would have been history. |

I still don't understand why am employee will be dictating to employer on the platform where he want to be paid. ASUU is a big problem to education in Nigeria tertiary institution. |

donbrowser:IF YOU KNOW THE LEVEL OF CORRUPTION THIS IPPIS PLATFORM WILL UNCOVER YOU WILL PRAISE THE GOVERMENT FOR THE INITIATIVE. JUST ASK YOURSELF A SINCERE QIUESTION. WHY IS ASUU SAYING NO TO AN ORDINARY PLATFORM THAT WANT TO MONITOR YOUR EARNINGS? WHAT IS SO DIFFICULT IN ACCEPTING THE WAY YOUR EMPLOYER WANT TO PAY YOU? |
| Re: Seven-month Strike Lingers As ASUU, Govt Fight Over Payment Platform by donbrowser(m): 2:27pm On Nov 02, 2020 |
Slurity:Don't be deceived. Ask around from organizations using IPPIS if they are enjoy their service. IPPIS is unitary payment system just as UTAS. What's so hard in FG using the single payment platform proposed by ASUU. More problems will arise if IPPIS is imposed on ASUU. |
