How is it ASUU's fault ?

Those idiots should turn the large budget voted to the house of assembly to pay lecturers.

ASUU should please tell us, how many of their 71700 members from federal institutions are currently on IPPIS.

I support ASUU because this govt is very insensitive to workers welfare..... No nation on earth uses ippis to pay university lecturers due to the peculiarities of their job but this satanist apc govt is hopeless

If 57000 out of 71700 is already dancing to the FG tunes then let schools open and life continues. The remaining 14700 can go to hell sad

Mr. Lai is a very good teacher, he has successfully taught this government how to lie all the time cheesy

Believe those figures at your peril.... This govt is full of propagandas

d only thing that can stop them from always fighting is to allow schools run independently... That means students will start paying high fees like their private counterparts

When 2 elephants fight, it's the ground that suffers. Some people will definitely miss the age limit for NYSC with the way this is going... if you are 31 and still in final year, e don be for you unless you change your ways - a word is enough for the wise. Nigerian students have suffered!!

57000 out of 71000. The employer is winning. The rest will all join. The strike is ending soon.

IPPIS is another Alpha Beta from what ASUU says. There is a fee that goes to IPPIS but the recommended payment or salary platform by ASUU will be free.

If our academics cant prefer solutions that the government cant use then there is a problem.

FG is saying ASUU cant dictate platform for them to use. (Very arrogant stance by FG). Let us have real logical and reasonable reason why the ASUU recommendation is a no no.

FG no care and selfish. If ASUU is being corrupt I'm sure EFCC would do the needful.

I sympathise with ASUU on the other issues listed, but not IPPIS, the university's do not generate a single Kobo, D government pays for practically everything. You can't be working for me & expect to dictate D platform I will use to pay you. That's the height of arrogance. Security outfits, miniseries and Health institutions are all On IPPIS, what's so special about ASUU that they won't be. captured in it

Tales by moon light everytime. cheesy

From what i have observed, ASUU has always been consistent with the reason why they started the strike(which was not even IPPIS). While FG has been here and there, no definite stand, especially this minister of state for education.

He was the one that said, ASUU should consider farming, Billions of Naira spent in education was used to pay professors(seriously undecided),now he has said another one.
The minister talks a lot of nonsense.

Though i want ASUU to settle their issues with FG this year. So that by next year, students would be able to go back to class.
I'm sure if children of our politicans are studying in these public universites, strike would have been what we read in History books.
FG has always been the enemy anyday, anytime. As far as education in this country is concerned.

Not much. Some of them(lecturers) secretly enrolled. ASUU do not have the statistics.
But since FG claims majority of ASUU members are already in IPPIS, let them provide evidence or STFU!

Is it not FG that is stopping them from generating revenue. I'm sure if they increase fees to 600k-1million, most of us wouldn't know what a higher institution looks like.

If you are conversant with the university system and other institution like health system, you will understand why IPPIS isn't good for the university. Except FG is ready to adjust the software, which from what i have seen, is not an option. If it is, they would have done it.

I don't know if I am the only one that is tired of reading news concerning ASUU/FG...infact if u people like resume mid 2021 or 2022...it will help undergraduates to understand that they have to learn handwork or do a liable business as school alone cannot determine our success in this country...I'm missing school and I am not missing school simple.

But if it will stop this strike, then universities should go up to 600k. Schoolarship then should be given to the less privileged who qualify academically.

Besides, education is not supposed to be cheap. Enough of this chronic socialism we dey practice. If things costs as it should be. Maybe our population will even stop increasing exponentially
