Bashir Magashi: US Rescue Operation Not Violation Of Nigeria’s Sovereignty by Islie(op): 3:20pm On Nov 03, 2020
Sunday Aborisade, Abuja

The Minister of Defence, Major General Bashir Magashi (rtd.), has said the recent rescue operation by the United States special forces on Nigerian soil was not a violation of the country’s sovereignty.

He said the Nigerian government granted the US necessary permission to carry out the military operation.

The United States Special Military Force, over the weekend, successfully rescued an American citizen kidnapped by bandits in the northern part of Nigeria.

In an interview with journalists shortly after he defended his Ministry’s budget at the Senate on Tuesday, the minister said Nigeria gave permission to the United States “as a friendly country” almost as soon as it was contacted by the government.

He ruled out theories that the United States might have violated Nigeria’s sovereignty.

Magashi said the country was doing the best it could with what was available to the military to deploy adequate technology in its operations.

The minister, however, said that Nigeria would explore the current partnership with the United States to tackle insurgency in the country.

This Nigerian military boss(es) likes to major on the minor & minor on the major.

The United States Special Military Force, over the weekend, successfully rescued an American citizen kidnapped by bandits in the northern part of Nigeria.
So, Mr Bashir Magashi expect a sane country to leave their citizen in the hands of "Allah's warriors."
All what he said is just to save face cos the man was abducted in the North.

Damnnn niggarrrr
Isoright...
Not seeking permission from us would have been better

Because we almost telling the world already that we are pussy ass with the way things are going
Sooner or later no nation is going to respect us as the real niggarrrrs of Africa

Imagine our army denied that they were not at lekki
Later they agreed they were there it was the governor that requested and they didn't shoot
Before you know it they agreed they shot but it wasn't live bullet..that it was blank ammunition
To make it worse denying panel asses to their morgue
Now one stupid malami is saying it was hoodlums wearing army uniform

Why should we allow them to come into our territory for a rescue operation, can we do that to them? What prevents our army to go for that operation and hand back the victim bck to the USA?

Buhari is a disgrace

Re: Bashir Magashi: US Rescue Operation Not Violation Of Nigeria’s Sovereignty by Hambivert:
sparogatively, the world already knows our leaders are incompetent.

If this government can't protect her own citizens, how do one expect her to protect foreigners?

I can't fathom!

If you are of the view this government would have the interest of a foreigner more than the lives of the Chibok girls that gained global attention but are still locked up somewhere in Sambisa! If you are of the view they would oversee the rescue of a foreigner over #FreeLeahSharibu , then I must thank God you are not the President of the US!

It doesn't violate it! Never did and Never will

Who is saying that before?

I know if na Nigeria, billion will go into the rescue mission yet no rescue.
Or one soldier will leak the mission to the Kidnappers
Politicians will politicize it.

Toy soldiers who are not strategic
Only received training to kill unarmed civilians and beat a woman.
Re: Bashir Magashi: US Rescue Operation Not Violation Of Nigeria’s Sovereignty by dvkot(m): 3:30pm On Nov 03, 2020
I had truly wish the book haram would have killed the American guy. So the USA army would then invade this country as they did to isis, e for sweet me pass..

Nigerian mumu army only know how to shoot her UNARMED citizen and flog a woman.. They dont pass at any other thing, nothing at all. You see how American love their army and RESPECT them and how their army also respect the civilians.
Here's it rubbish, how will an army be calling those its supposed to protect bloody civilians? They are trained to see civilians as their enemy. I've said what all Nigerian military needs is intense 8months of psychological training every year
