I will suggest you submit petition. It takes time to get I-130 approved and going through NVC stage.

The ban doesn’t stop you from petitioning for her

The ban doesn't stop her from petitioning for him.

This group has been so silent. Thought it will be so active today as the world awaits the outcome of US presidential election. A win for Biden is hope for immigrants and a reelection for Trump makes the chances slim. Biden gonna undo all Trump's Executive orders.

Sadly we can only watch the outcome and can’t make any changes

Is it true that Green Card holder must spend a minimum of 6 months every year inside US. If so, must it be 6 continuous months or just a total scattered ?

Hi guys
I don’t really know much about this stuff, I received a physical letter on Monday from Nvc, logged in with the details- my mum’s lawyer is handling everything, so I just googled yesterday to know about the whole process. My category is F2A and my pd is 17 January 2019
So like when will i be interviewed and be given a visa ?
I’m curious because I’m still in year 1, just trying to know if I’ll finish school here in Nigeria
I look forward to a reply

Greetings! Please who has any idea if CR1 Visa (Spousal) is still being processed and issued to Nigerians even at the expense of the ban? I was informed Yes but I needed to be sure here and hence my question. I look forward to a helpful answer. I'll appreciate any valuable information about this particular Visa. Thank you

With current backlog, I would advise you to give it 3 years or even a little more

Congrats! I don't think this is a thread for political analysis though. This thread is for processing immigration visa. Don't let us derail the topic to discuss politics

I'm not here to discus politic just asking what will be the effect of biden win on our family based green card category cos I heard trump was threatening to scrap it off. He called it "chain migration". So please anyone know about biden policy on immigration?.

I like this. He going to reduce the waiting time as per family based green card by removing the limit to the number of visa per years.

That's his plan, but I doubt if he would be able to do it, the senate would block everything.

Yes he will b able to do it easily through executive order just as Trump used executive orders to effect changes in immigration

I hope you followed up your email with a letter sent by post. They replied my letter and promised to inform me when it is time to issue a replacement visa, at extra cost though. Still waiting and hoping . Their email has not been read for more than 6 months so if you sent them email , it could take many more weeks to read and reply. If you have not sent a letter by post please do so , stating your case number, and they will hopefully reply by email. Good luck.

Actually it’s the other way. Green card holders shouldn’t spend over 6 months consecutively outside the US. or risk loosing your status

Hell of a promise! We’ll see how that goes except of course through Executive orders
