I make the offer. Look for posh apartments that fit your tastes and make the offer. They rather have the little than leave it vacant. Control them with money. Tell them like any you're renting now you have a project and need a place for just 6 months. Simple.

Yes. Nothing been the life of an explorer. If I gave you a tour cheesy You'll never consider Urban dwelling again grin

it would have been so good. The west practice this and it has helped migration btw urban, suburban and rural areas alot..
Exactly. You can live in 12 different states in one year. Here they even ask you for one year rent in advance.

I wonder who we offend for this country.

Hey guys, I'm looking to get away from noise and crowded environments. Nigerians are naturally loud and have no regard for neighbours. Infact the churches around my location host activities almost on a daily basis. I need peace, quietness, nature.

So I'm looking for a quiet town or village (Yes o, even if it's a village) that is next to a busy city. Something around a 20 minutes - 1 hour journey to the city.

The 3 important factors I need are:
1) Good electricity supply (15 hours +)
2) Security
3) Good/manageable road to the city

So guys where can you suggest for me?. I'm planning to move/relocate there by January.

I also don't want to go to the north, except Abuja. The map below shows the region I'd like to stay in (Abuja, west, south, east).

Plantation City in Otokutu ( Ughelli South LGA) of Delta State is what you need

Exactly, I am wondering why no one has mentioned Bonny. My guy @Benzoway try Bonny you would never regret it, light is almost 24/7 and it is quiet, and peaceful.

Ok thanks. I know they have 24 hours supply but I don't know if it is quiet and has a small population.

You're right, it's just that I don't think any country has the variety of food Nigeria has. Nigeria is also one of the cheapest countries to live in.
Unfortunately, we lack security and basic amenities.
That's why I'm doing this research, to find my 'overseas' location right in Nigeria. cheesy

Thanks man, I'll put it on my list. The only barrier is the 'only boat' access in and out of the town. But I don't mind compromising on that.
Pls What is the travel time from Bonny to port Harcourt city?

Osun Osogbo perfectly fits the description. Electricity is almost 24hrs/day, the population is very low, cost of living is very low, crime rate is very low and the people are very welcoming, also not as loud or social as people from other states.. You can get a nice one bed room apartment in the Government residential areas for as low as 120- 150k. GRA has the most developed areas with good roads and best security. In other parts you can get the One bed room for as low as 60-80k. The only problem in the state is the lack of jobs. Assuming you're only searching for residential purposes, Oshogbo is perfect. You can do more research on the city your self.

Thanks man. I work online so I'm not bothered about jobs.
Osogbo and jos were my 2 top opinions last year but I made the mistake of choosing jos. Jos has unstable security due to unpredictable crisis.
I don't understand yoruba. Will language be a problem in osogbo?

Language wouldn't be much of a problem. Most people speak and understand English or Pidgen at least.

Suleja in Niger state is perfect.
The place is very close to Abuja (250 transport fees to the heart of ABJ).

Apc quarters area in suleja enjoys 24 hours of light daily and rent here for a self-contained apartment ranges from 80k to 200k, depending on your tease.

I paid 100k for my apartment while serving here.

I think Benin is okay. There's actually a better electricity supply. You can check www.hotels.ng to book for any hotel to stay during your first few days.

Check out Ajaokuta Steel City. 24 hours electricity.
Roads : ok. Just some inner street roads that are not too good due to government neglect, though, this is in some estates.

30 minutes drive to Lokoja.
Water supply: yes, in some estates.

No too much language barrier because there are many languages from different parts of Nigeria who came to work at the Steel Company.

Go to amonyo in ilorin and enjoy 24 hours electricity supply and serene environment. Security should be close to 90% from my experience.
