Your monthly income tax should go to those States but in most cases the companies pay those taxes to Lagos State headquarters - This is fact about Nigeria and Lagos State IGR.

Oil Companies employ you from Lagos State headquarters and deploys you to a rig in Imo State then your income tax goes to Lagos State. Why?

You got it all wrong, Monthly Income taxes (not company tax) are deducted from Workers Salaries and remitted to the State Government by the Account's Department of the Company not to the company. The same way Labour Dues are deducted and paid to Labour Unions. I have first class experience in this field.

Monthly Income taxes of employees are not Company Tax. It is individual tax from income earned on monthly basis to State Governments.

Companies doesn't pay Monthly taxes, individuals do.

These taxes go directly to the State where the employee is deployed and not to the State Government where the company headquarters is domicile.
