It will not work. ASUU will never agree to be in the same union with others. The same way NMA can never be in the same union with JOHESU. Different union has different objective for her members.

This is generally not true in academia. Calling a professor or someone with a doctorate “Mr.” or “Mrs.” can be disrespectful as it does not acknowledge the years of work they have done to earn the title of “Dr.” or “Professor”.

Posterity will not be fair to both the ASUU and the FG. In few years time, some of them would have gone while the few that might remain would obviously become senile. Whether they like it or not, it's these children whose future they're tampering with to satisfy their own ego and selfishness that will rule them and determine what become of them and their grandchildren.

Mr Abubakar Rasheed think that cutting off the head is the solution to headache.

ASUU, SSANU & JAC plays different roles in the university, and this helps to achieve the successful running of academic & non-academic activities.

If you want to merge them, resolve their individual agitations first.

Frankly, for the sake of the Nigerian student, it is best the body is merged.

I think merging ASUU and SSANU is a welcome development but on the other hand, NASU should be allowed to operation as a union itself
