OP you are right.

Only ignorant Nigerians say stuff like ''America/UK/.Germany does this or that.... why can't Nigeria do the same?''

The US annual budget is 7.6 TRILLION dollars.

Uk, Germany, France etc each have annual budgets of between 2 and 3 trillion dollars.

South Africa with its population of 60 million has an annual budget of 125 billion dollars.

Nigeria with 200 million people has an annual budget of 35 billion dollars.

Nigeria is not a rich country, and even if there was zero corruption, we would still struggle to provide the basics to the population.

Our number 1 priority as a nation is economic diversification.

The oil and gas income won't cut it if we're looking to get to the next level.

This boy USE YOUR BRAIN for once.

You have a one track mind like a robot.

That ''600 billion dollars'' dodgy figure you always quote seems like an awful lot of money to you. It is NOT.

That is less than 1/10th of the US annual budget.

Don't use your brain. Mr Fingerpointer. Everything is always somebody else's fault.

Nigeria is poor because there is too much foreign exchange leaving the country:
1)The President runs to London,United Kingdom for medical treatment, while his wife runs to Dubai,United Arab Emirates to treat her neck pain.

2) A Nigerian leader will rather use the most expensive luxury cars manufactured in Germany,United Kingdom,Japan such as Mercedez-Benz,BMW,Range Rover,Lexus in his 8-20 car convoy than patronise Innosun.

3)Nigerian leaders will rather send their children to Harvard and Oxford instead of making University of Lagos or University of Ibadan the world class institution it used to be in the 70's when it was receiving funding from Ford Foundation and Rockerfeller, before the military chased them out.

4)When it is time for vacation our leaders go to Dubai,London,Los Angeles,Zurich,Miami,New York,Paris to go and spend their loot and launder their money. Instead of going to Obudu ranch.
5) When it comes to banking they store their loot in London,Zurich,Dubai,New York,Cayman Island,Panama,Singapore,Saudi Arabia.

The British managed this country for 63 years and looted the nation, you colonised idio.t with no brain..

We had zero power stations at independence after 63 years of British rule.

We had ZERO universities after 63 years of British rule.

Kainji dam was our first power plant, commissioned in 1964 by the Tafawa Balewa administration.

At independence, 95% of Nigerians were stark village illiterates despite 63 years of British rule.

But somehow the British will transform Nigeria to heaven in 10 years in your dumb head!

Just take your rubbish slave mentality and get out of here.

Look at how they transformed South Africa to look like Europe. No Nigerian city can rival any city in South Africa in terms of infrastructure.

They had no plans of developing Nigeria because they had to long-term plans to stay here.

Nigeria is poor because it has had the most corrupt leaders that have ever walked the planet- simple!

Look at what Thomas Sankara did in Burkina Faso, he recognized his country was poor and cut costs of governance drastically and that is why he was taken out early.

Thomas Sankara, upon seizing power, immediately sold off the government’s fleet of Mercedes cars, replaced them with the ordinary Renault 5, which was then the cheapest car in Burkina Faso. The Renault became the official service car for all government officers and ministers. Also, he reduced the salaries of all public servants, including his own, and forbade the use of government chauffeurs and 1st class airline tickets.

Worth noting, as President, he lowered his salary to $450 a month and limited his possessions to a car, four bikes, three guitars, a fridge and a broken freezer.

In 1960 we had enough resources to transform the country. Remember when Yakubu Gowon made this statement in the 70's when he was Military Head of State, "The problem is not money, but how to spend it", this was when Nigeria's population was still manageable.

Honestly bro, I'm sick of all these idiots that come on here to say ''the white man will do this and that better than we can'', as if we did not give the white man the chance to do exactly that for nearly a century!!

Yet at the end of it the likes of Awo, Zik, Enahoro and co were fighting tooth and nail to get rid of them because all they did was export our resources and deposit 99% of the income in London, with Nigerians strarving and walking around nak.e.d.

Zero infrastructure, zero everything.

They didn't even bother building a national grid to distribute electricity. They simply imported large generators from England to power the GRAs were their white officials were staying.

All this despite exporting our palm oll, cocoa, timber, coal, groundnuts, rubber etc for a century, and making triliions!

These are the same white people that these fools are saying will transform Nigeria to heaven if we let them rule us again.

I mean, how can people be so stupid?

I've tried to drum it into that RuidVanNistlreoy kid's head time and again that the whites WILL NEVER help to develop Nigeria, but he keeps coming back with this same slave minded rubbish.

Maybe they are the ones sending him here to deceive us again.

What has pan Africanism do, pan Africanism is just another word for african Marxism.

A marxist society will always be poor and always blame outsiders for internal problem.

If people dont produce, don't trade, how is their country going to improve.

The santara keep blaiming imperalism for corn and grains and others, why didnt he tell his people to start to grow all these, be competitive in trade.

So because he has 3 guitar, one car and earn 450 dollars a month, that means he is a good leader.

Do you know how much was 450 dollars in his time, it was worth alot.

This was actually my argument when I refused to believe in change sold by APC. I knew that stopping corruption was least of our problem but people will argue .

We are unproductive as a nation

We are actually a poor country

We need a government who can turnaround our fortunes

Obviously not this analogue politicians

But how do we achieve this

With high numbers of illiteracy

Does the populace even believe we are poor

2023, debate amongst aspirants should be,

How do you raise revenue profile of the country

That way we would know who have the best plans
God bless you for this!
