My prepaid meter isn't displaying anything , there is no indication showing light is entering the meter , but I have light in my house , how do I solve this

Mine didn't last up to a year too. I can relate. I had to meet an official of the disco and he gave me another one --------like a backdoor operation------ this one doesn't bear my name. It carries Landlord. Lol.

My tenant just complained of similar problem. I asked IBEDC official what the problem could be and his answer was perplexing. He said there are some meters that allows the user to accumulate debits even when the token is exhausted unlike others that there will not be light when the token is exhausted. You know some tenants, even when they buy token and it gets finished, as long as there is light they will not bother to load again. He advised that a token of 5k be loaded to check if the debits already incurred will be deducted from the accumulated debts. I am still waiting for the tenants to buy the token.
