I agree with you M. O. G however, the girl in question should be publicly questioned by the authorities. I live abroad and the authorities here don't shield a criminal pastor. I hope the girl was not sexually abused in any process. It is irresponsible to hide a 13 year old girl. No matter how good intentioned the Pastor is, in UK where I live the Pastor and his associates will go to jail. It may look Biblically right but it is morally and legally wrong. God bless us all
remember similar story of a christian girl maltreated by her pastor parents ?. She's igbo girl. I think the incident happened in Kano or kaduna. She ran away from home to Muslims and muslims returned her to her parents. But see Christians giving so much excuses to the point of shifting goalpost.

Go and read stories of kidnapping in US how a kidnapper stole a baby in 1998 from hospital and raised her until she was 18. She gave her education and she lives good life too.

But the woman (kidnapper) robbed the baby of her identity. It was still considered kidnapping under the law. She was caught and now serving 18 yrs behind bars. Stop giving excuses. If pastor was Muslim your guys would be different. He robbed this girl of her religious identity.

The usual story is that the child sees the light in Jesus and then converts.

Next, the parents find out and threaten her with bodily harm and even death (normal levels in the North). The child senses imminent danger and runs away. The pastor accommodates her naively ie without legal complaints and filing for protection for the child, which may not even be effective considering the environment and its nature for persecuting Christians as a well known state policy (MURIC and other enablers alike will not like to discuss this particular matter that is well known and understood by all and sundry).

The child is traced, and the pastor is deliberately scapegoated / implicated with a court case initiated to serve as a deterrent for other runaway converts getting help.

Well, for fairness, I hope this case is proven to be what has been portrayed here (ABDUCTION) and the culprit brought to book. This is in spite of MURIC’s involvement that suggests a deliberate set up already. Especially judging by MURIC’s penchant for crying wolf usually where there is non.
