Why is this news? Nigerian power grid collapsed 20 years ago and never recovered. So now what?

FFS, it would require the government a minimum of 20 years and not a single naira stolen (impossible, right) to bring it to the level at which developed countries are.

Mention one country in the world without corrupt official..

This is how someone will come again in 2023 and trick people that he wants to end corruption without a comprehensive blue print.
Power generation should be removed from exclusive list, just like telecoms
Nigeria corruption is the worst bro

At least other good countries get good road and stable electricity, good medicals and education etc

I thought APC govt would have fixed power by now as they promised in 2025. APC and PDP are all scams, with one agenda in common...steal until there is no more to steal.

So many trouble
Re: National Grid Collapses, Plunges Lagos, Others Into Darkness by COMPAQ(m): 2:27pm On Nov 14, 2020
Electricity is not rocket science. If Nigerian government is serious and wants to solve the issues, it will solve them.

We can get a Tesla grid size battery system that will act as a back up to stabilise the grid. This battery system will respond to power plant outages within seconds to keep the grid from collapsing.

A 1000MW solar plant ,say 2 plants of 500MW each can be operational in 2years if the contract is signed today in serious countries.

Yes ooo, just like some parts of Nigeria have been wailing and crying since they lost in 2015
Lost what? Who is crying and buying fuel for 170?

I guess both APC and PDP.

Be a good follower, not fellow follow.

Otherwise, in the face of economic hungry, no Buhari member should complain

Instead of uncircumcised nonentity like yourself to demand for good governance from our leaders you're busy shouting ipob up and down.

Is ipob the reason why fuel now sales at 170 ?

Is ipob the reason why dollar is now 474 naira ?

Is ipob the reason why a bag of rice is now 32,000 naira ?

Is ipob the reason of the bad roads, insecurities, backwardness of the country ?

With supporters like you who are willing to support Abominations, no government will be willing to give their best Because people like you will still praise and support them regardless.

Nigeria is too big to be managed this way.
Each state should sought it's own electricity problem.. a centralised system cannot work.
Abokii, don't want it that way because, they cannot cope. They are parasites, they depend on the host to survive. According to them, it will lead to break up of Nigeria

The cost of doing this will get us 100, 000mw of steam or coal fired plant or plants in each geo political zone. Forget climate change, that one no concern is for now.

It seems you are not aware that solar power is now cheaper than gas powered or coal powered plants.

Australia got a 100MW battery system in 100days from Tesla and it has really helped to stabilise their grid.

Ah, that's good news but why the battery never reach here. As soon as 200A battery sells 10k, everybody go forget NEPA and Fg will.collapse and die. then everybody will be free and go his separate ways.
