The Ondo NYSC Coordinator, Mrs. Grace Akpabio has asserted that the orientation course put in place by the NYSC is to put prospective corps members in correct perspective for selfless service and nation building.

This was contained in a statement forwarded to our reporter by the Head, Public Relations Unit of the Ondo NYSC, Bankole Simeon, Sunday.

According to him, the State Coordinator made the assertion while giving overview of the NYSC in a lecture she delivered to 2020 Batch 'B' (Stream 1A) prospective corps members at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ikare Akoko, Ondo State.

Mrs. Akpabio said that as Nigerians, we should believe in our country and cooperate with leaders to make it a better place for us all to live.

"My prospective corps members, I want you to do away with the erroneous impression that this country has no meaningful solutions to offer the young and vibrant youths in their quest for better future. Right from the three weeks orientation course, we have packaged programmes and activities that will impact positively on your future."

Orientation course is an ideal lifetime experience. Sadly, we live in a realist society.

Reality takes away all the home training we received as kids.

Reality robbed us of all the lessons we learnt in our different courses in school.

Reality makes us forget all that the preacher said the moment we step outside the church /mosque.

Reality makes orientation course useless the moment we leave the camp.

government should stop producing graduates they can't cater for, after 4 years now, no job, nothing. Even my juniors that is into handwork has set up his family about 7years ago and here I am, have not even rent a room for myself not to talk of buying bed.

The sexual escapades going on in NYSC camp is something else. Even the married ones are not left out. During my time, a particular married woman was just giving out sex for free as if her life depends on it.

Ikare Akoko! I was there 2015 Batch A, the place no change at all.
I did Boy Alinco for platoon 2. Camp was fun dow .
I was really favored there(My PPA).
