Umahi’s Defection : Another Commissioner Refuses To Join APC, Resigns Appointment

Following Governor David Nweze Umahi’s plan to defect to All Progressives Congress, APC, the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Mrs. Rebecca Ogbuewu has announced her resignation, Igbere TV has learnt.

According to report gathered by IGBERE TV, the Commissioner tendered her resignation letter after she decided to stick to the People's Democratic Party, PDP.

IGBERE TV had reported that the Commissioner for Intergovernmental Affairs in Ebonyi State, Hon. Laz Ogbe resigned his appointment.

In a letter seen by IGBERE TV, Hon. Ogbe said he has resigned his appointment and thanked the People's Democratic Party, PDP.

Recall that Umahi on Tuesday met with the National Chairman of the People's Democratic Party, PDP, Prince Uche Secondus and told him he is leaving PDP for APC.

Umahi is reportedly making moves to contest for bigger position come 2023 General elections.

Continue to cheer him to political oblivion.....so that he will lose out.The Earthquake that will hit him is still coming. To be honest,he has more bargaining power in PDP than APC where they have a lot of power brokers.

Freedom of association is free but Dave Umahi should weight the odds very well before he leaps.He should have a good foresight & political sagacity to fully understand the consequence of his impending defection.Others have gone on this adventure before on both sides of the political divide but the rest is histroy.

Whatever happens, umahi is gone to APC

Umahi goofed big time. There is no way he can have as much influence as he had in Pdp in Apc. Sorry to say this, but Igbo’s always goof when it comes to national politics, they are always on the wrong side of history.

No reasonable Easterner will follow the Governor to APC, they know that the party will betray and disappoint Umahi. The few people following his are doing that because of their stomach. I know my way in laws, they can do anything for you for money.

Any sensible politicians that decamped to APC this period of time he or she just digging her/ his own grave. Any election that credibily conducted this period if APC failed to lose it is not a credible election or no better option (but unfortunately there is no better alternative anyway, the only options it even worst)

The only person in APC that can comfortably win election now is Governor Zulum of Borno state.
