The leadership of the House of Representatives is currently meeting with the heads of security agencies in the country behind closed doors.

The meeting, which began at about 2:15pm, is presided over by the Deputy Speaker, Ahmed Wase.

Journalists and others were sent out of the venue as the meeting was about to begin.

The Defence Headquarters, Nigerian Army, Nigeria Air Force, Nigerian Navy, Nigeria Police Force, Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nigerian Immigration Service, Nigerian Correctional Service, among others, were represented by top officers.

Re: Reps In Closed-Door Meeting With Service Chiefs by amidel(m): 4:27pm On Nov 16, 2020
Okay.
They outcome of the meeting will be the reps representing their selfish interest; maybe they need more security personnels.

The security chiefs will be asking them to pass a bill which will favour them(security chiefs).
At the end, they'll say the meeting was to discuss ways of moving the Nation's security forward.

That's my submission while I await the report of the meeting.

and Civil Defence Corps, Nigerian Immigration Service,
Nigerian Correctional Service, among others,

.
Sparogatively, the meeting is already a useless one even before it began, since none of the head of these agencies thought it wise to come in person.

Re: Reps In Closed-Door Meeting With Service Chiefs by privaldo: 5:13pm On Nov 16, 2020
I can bet that they are thinking of better ways to secure the South, so that we can be as safe as our Northern counterparts (Northern Nigeria is the safest place in the world). The outcome maybe the creation of a Southern version of Hisbah, new ways to shut down social media or how to ensure women dress properly in the South.
