"Give a warning first". So you want to claim that you do not know that Okadas are prohibited on those roads?

Why do some people choose to brazenly flout the laws and make our society so terrible? Why hide under endsars to create anarchy in the land? The same mouth with which you supported endsars, do people like you use to complain that there is no police presence on the roads.

You should read my previous posts. I never supported endsars after they begun blocking major roads. I have been around that area and can authoritatively tell you that bikes are the main means of transportation from 2nd rainbow into Festac town. As much as the government can make laws let them put some human consideration into it. The #endsars movement should let them understand that the will of the people matters. Also seizing bikes, people's source of living is not the way forward right now.

See we like the very fast life in Nigeria irrespective of the resultant costs in human lives and resources. Government truthfully has failed in the transportation sector, especially with the advantage given to the private sector with the entry of danfos into Lagos since the 1970s. Transportation should be largely run by government.

But for how long can we keep living like this? These Okadas people have been complete nuisances in those areas over the years. Do not forget that armed robbery, kidnapping and needless harm have been done to many Lagosians living within those areas. It is very painful getting to those areas and government has to deal with that menace.

The Okadas there have become lords on their own and supported by certain residents of those areas, have made life very difficult. What do they want on Oshodi-Apapa expressway? Go all over Lagos now and see what Okadas have been doing in the last two weeks after the endsars protest. It is only proper for government to address the situation.

I bet you that when all things are resolved, the police will get back more terrible than they were before endsars.

Brother, if its the okada men on the expressway, that needs to stop. But if it is inside Festac, it is fine.
Fact is that untill government provides the perfect replacement, okada men will be going off and back on roads once the laws are relaxed. Sad the bus terminal had to be burnt. That was the height of foolishness.

Good for Lagos taskforce. You dont just wake up in the morning and start seizing people's source of income. Give a warning first or provide another means of transportation. If there was another means of cheaper transportation, okadas working there will be broke and will go elsewhere to ply their businesses.

It is shameful for the Task Force of Lagos Govt to think that people will not resist them. What alternative transportation is being provided for the Masses! Is it the 247%increase -in tickets prices by BRT Management that brought untold hardship and inflation that is yet to settle or when was the Palliatives dropped on the people's doorsteps as done in America,Canada and Europe as a whole. Why is it that we always look for ways to punish and exert maximum control but no formula by government To engaged the people who voted for them.
Very soon, you will come again for their votes, then you free all the roads for Okada and Keke Napep to ride.Is this a stick and carrots approach.Too bad!

This is what happens when a state is too accommodating.

These are Hausa boys misbehaving and destroying things here.

Not that I support the police or task force but we shouldn't support one evil over another one.

Those Hausa boys are another thing on that Oshodi-Apapa axis...

Truthfully we do not need Okadas, koropes and keke napep in this country. All we need effecient and effective modes of transportation and proper timing in all cases. This NURTW is a major problem in Lagos. It will not cost government anything to stop them. Ambode had this plan of phasing out danfos last year but the powers bigger than him stopped him.

If we want Lagos to be that mega city we must have more than enough modern buses, good rail system and proper water transportation. This will not take rocket science (copying Fashola). The bus terminals are meant for comfort of the so called poor in society, yet they destroy them, thinking the funds used to build them belong to individuals. Those who destroy public property should be made to face the law.

Lastly we need more calm in Lagos for things to work effectively.

They should go back to their state to ride okada if they can't find any other job to do

The thing is sooner or later, Lagos State Government will ban okada totally in Lagos.

There's no two ways to this
