In 2013, a similar incident occurred in the same market, and traders lost goods worth millions of naira.

Officials of the state fire service are yet to make any statement on the Monday situation.

The Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong responded swiftly by promising to set up a committee to look into the constant cause of inferno at Katako market where properties worth Millions of Naira were destroyed.

Governor Lalong disclosed this while visiting the scene which was guilted by fire on Monday night, expressed deep concern over the sad development regretting the reoccurrence of fire incident at the market each year which is affecting the traders and the economy of the state.

Governor Lalong who was represented by the Management Committee Chairman of Jos North Shehu Bala Usman said the committee when Constituted would work closely with the officials of the market to find a lasting solution to the constant fire incident in the area.

The Governor while commiserating with the business community of Timber B Hausa line over the tragic incident said his administration would do everything possible to work with the business community to improve the socio-economic growth of the state by providing a conducive atmosphere for business to thrive.

They were given money in 2013, they want money again, use this opportunity to organize the shops well and stop slum shops, this market use to be a market for everyone until one tribe started attacking and killing others which led to everyone leaving the market for them.
But see now! They could not even manage it , okirika market for students is also situated there but nobody goes there after the crisis to avoid being slaughtered as everyone left the market for them

Fire razed shanties at Oko Baba.

Petrol Tanker exploded at Kara bridge.

Petrol Tanker exploded at Lagos Ibadan expressway. More than 40 houses burnt.

Oando Farm tank of 7.3million liters of petro burst into fire.

Properties worth billions of Naira were set ablaze during the endsars protest.

Dozens of police stations were set ablaze in the endsars protest.

And many more, All within the last 2 weeks.

And you are still thinking everything is normal. I just hope that the next will not be rain of fire and brimstones from above.

Jesus is coming. Stay ready in absolute repentance, watchfulness and holiness.
