The government can borrow money to buy car for the rulers but can't pay up for the educational system we rightly deserve, the country is bleeped up

In a country where the government can borrow money to fund their life style, loot all the nations wealth, but love to keep the children of the masses at home and their lectures not being paid

Is indeed a sad news

Great advice but my bible tells me that if the foundation is faulty, what can the righteous do?
With the interest rate on Fixed Deposit for some banks as low as 0.01% and interest rate on savings account pegged at 1.15% what other genuine source of money-making can a fellow make?

The strong native doctors who made money charms for us are all dead while the church has converted the few quacks remaining.
The new apprentices will rather extort than help you.

We can only thank our Chi for the abundance of Ponzi schemes disguised as Forex investors who can at least help double our savings.
But every good thing comes to an end...So what becomes of us when these FX investors eventually kaput?

The rephrase below is the summary of our plight.

Every day in our dear country we fight a new war against poverty; stamp duty on all deposits above 1000naira, increased VAT, fuel price hike, and imaginary electricity; there's a lot of ways to wind up broke trying to survive.
The fact that we survive at all in Nigeria is a miracle.
Because, every day we live, we face a 1000 ways to irredeemable poverty.

Let me rephrase a popular introduction.

Most of us are doing exceptionally well already. I always advice lecturers on learning skills asides teaching. A professor in Mathematics is useless outside the classroom and cannot perform simple computational analysis on a computer neither does a statistic lecturer know how to do this programmatically aside using SPSS and a little excel here and there. Zero knowledge on Python modules i.e Pandas, Bokeh, Tensor Flow etc.

How many accounting lecturers today can use QuickBooks pro at an advanced level? Or even peachTree. I may be incorrect but from experience, only a handful.

Most lecturers I know won't suffer through, the students would.

Shout-out to all lecturers and professors, we all would survive this, to move forward sometimes, you have to move 5 steps backwards and come back with brute force.

Alea Iacta Est.
