Please I have a situation. She submitted passport at lagos vac on Nov 9th and today we got email that passport is ready.

I am calling the vac as instructed, because they said physical visit are not allowed but they are not answering.

Please for those who applied for their parents. Kindly advise advise how your they collected their passport. Did they get a message first,

Did they go back to the courier and then pay? Or paid for everything the first time? If the latter is the case, what was the cost pls?

You'll get a mail from VFS stating that the decision envelop for your application has been received and is ready for collection. When you get the mail, you can call VFS or chat with them requesting for instructions on how to pay for their courier delivery service. You'll be sent another mail containing their account details, courier request form and other instructions.

Try to call again or send a mail to feedback.cannig@vfshelpline.com. They'll definitely respond.

Non essential tourists applications are being processed too but only pre-approved (IF approved) but you won't get an email, you only will if you're rejected, so basically if you've applied for tourist visa (online application) and its been about or over 2 months since biometrics and no response, you're "most likely*" already approved, but you will just see "Submitted" as status for now.

My advise is for anyone who wanna apply to apply now, "The covid factor" would help a lot of people this period, especially now that trump has lost and the over 1m people Canada was expecting to migrate from the US because of trump's proposed bans won't be going again. Goodluck guys.

My bvl just dropped,I applied in March which I am very sure it’s a refusal..
My question is? I wrote to them in May that I would like to withdraw my app and they respond with ( check attachment pls)
Does it mean they didn’t withdraw the app since bvl dropped today?

Just asking for though.not receiving a mail from IRCC on d status of your application and receiving a mail from VFS to come pick your passport are 2 different things��‍♂️

Ignore pls, can't comment further on that so people won't take it as a legal advise, it was just am update from a reliable source. Just hold unto the fact that, non essential, students (with approved institutions) and relatives to a Canadian of PR holder will only get approved this period. While those otherwise won't be rejected for reasons outside the norms, they won't see approved yet, even tho' they've been vetted inside already.

Hi all, my mum applied for visiting Visa in June. She hasnt been able to go and give her biometrics yet. I've been trying to schedule appointments since June but there hasnt been any success. Pls is there anyway around it?. She was going to come help me with delivery and my baby... I would really appreciate a response.

That's odd, everyone gets biometrics scheduled easily every now and then. DM me lemme help you, its an easy process bro.

Just be hopeful it will come through. I just got a mail yesterday from VFS that my decision envelope has been dispatched from the IRCC office, I applied 9 months ago. They are attending to these applications and from my source, they are trying to do everything possible to clear the backlogs they have.

2. My mum is sponsoring herself, she is a widow, with three daughters and an aged mother. She is an entrepreneur but does not have a company, she is in partnership with an organization, what does she need to provide as evidence?
3. Does she need to provide statement of account?
4. Also, she has properties left to her by my late father, he did not have a will behind, but she now owns them, does she need to submit papers for the properties? The documentation for the deeds is still in his name.
5. The property she is currently occupying is self-purchased, but she bought it in her children’s name, can she still claim it as hers and does she need to provide documentation for it.

Finally, I guess what I am asking is what supporting documents should be provided for visiting visa for my mum?

We planned on getting married this year but our plans changed due to covid 19. I was wondering if it is possible for me to invite him over to Canada as a visitor and also sponsor his stay here. If so, how would I frame the letter of invitation? I am afraid that if I mention he is my fiance, IRCC may see him as an intended immigrant and may deny him visa.

Please how can I go about this?

I can only answer first part because my mum is yet to get her PP back

She submitted her passport at the DHL close to the vfs. PHYSICAL SUBNISISONS are no longer allowed at the vfs because of covid19

So simply tell her to take her pp, pp biodata page, letter sent by cic in account plus transmission slip given to her earlier after she did biometrics to DHL

Ah since June?

My wife was in similar situation as she was pregnant and wanted her mum, but her mum has since done biometrics on August 24

We had applied in July but Covid19 had close vfs.
Please whats the problem now because the vfs has been open since August ooh, and booking biometrics has been possible since the weekend before that date.

Without biometrics, your application won't proceed.

You have to calculate her flight ticket ,since you will be providing accomdation and money should still be left in the account atleast she cannot use all her savings for the trip ..so currently if ticket is like 1200usd then you expect she should have minimum 2000 to 3000 or more eqvivalent in naira on her account but if you working in canada you can add ur payslip ..so it like a share responsibilty you care for her feeding and accomdation abd she only pay for flight ticket as stated in the invitation letter
