At the brief ceremony held at the State House Executive Council Chambers in Abuja, Justice Salami handed over boxes of documents to the President, which were said to be volumes of the report. Remember that after Magu was accused by the Attorney-General of the Federation, the AGF and the Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, of corruption and abuse of office, President Buhari was appointed to the panel and given 45 days to carry out the task. The panel still dey? Sadly the panel can only make recommendations and not prosecute. The real legal fireworks will now begin at the court provided they've not arranged soft landing and plea bargaining for themselves. |
