It’s not, but there’s no harm in doing it.
Baphil:
Is Police Character Certificate compulsory in processing an application?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Chocs(f): 5:56am On Nov 21, 2020
One can still do an upfront medical after the submission of an application. After doing the exam, the slip can be sent to IRCC via webform and email.
Qudkom:

It is usually better to wait for the medical instruction that way you know you’re close to getting approved in most cases. Also if you wanted to do your medical “to fast track” then you should have done it before submitting your application that way you’d have found a separate portal to upload the result.

Up until now, travel restrictions have not changed. They only advised people to reconsider non-essential travels

Was listening yesterday, Schools and daycare remain open. Groceries and essential services are not affected.
Religious centers reduced to 10 indoors and 10 outdoors.

No comment was made on the Airport as at when I was listening, but I'll tune in this morning
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Kimkalash: 8:31am On Nov 21, 2020
VAC or embassy?
Chocs:
Your passport is still with the VAC. When it has been stamped, you’ll see that it has been returned back to VFS. VFS will then hand it over to the courier.

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by iampaulsmith(m): 8:57am On Nov 21, 2020
Thanks. I will do just that

Baphil:
They all have your profile. The right channel will respond or do the necessary. I notice it's Nairobi Kenya that most likely handles Nigeria.

You can send to Kenya, Beijing, even Nigeria. Just send it anyway.

Statistics show that most victims got the virus in clubs and other social gatherings. They have little or no record of any immigrant that show symptoms after they have opened the border.

Also, there is a current ban of non essential travel between US and Canada.

In regards to this, I don't think there is any form of deliberation on closing the border again. We will continue to monitor

Good evening gurus in the house, can someone who has applied for express entry and didn't qualify apply for student visa? What are the chances of getting the student visa considering he has applied for express entry before.

There is no negative impact having a dual intent. As a matter of fact, having 2 intents (1 for temporary residence and 1 for permanent residence) is legitimate. However, while applying for study permit you must demonstrate that you're a bonafide student who will study on a temporary basis and return home after studies.

It will end in praise.

You can upload letter of sponsorship/support as the case maybe in the proof of means of financial support along side other financial statements of your sponsor.
