Since Buhari has limited education,
he doesn't know or care about the
dynamics of the tertiary education system;

He thinks it is just like nomadic education
or breeding cows as a business & made
a man from a region that hate despise
education as minister of Education.

How do you think education will not come
to a standstill?

Today, Buhari is minister for petroleum,
how far we as Nigerians see him hand.

Another hawoosa is minister for agric;
how price of agricultural produce for
una zone? Onions don cost pass apple,
garri don cost past cornflakes, palm
oil don cost pass olive oil. Local abakaliki
or gwari rice don cost pass former
price of Basmatti rice!!

All security heads are northerners, now
person no fit travel go anywhere because
the have no idea on how to secure the
country... Military officers, Policemen,
Civil Defence, Road safety, Customs are
all being kidnapped & paying ransom.

Fellow Nigerians, Northerners don kill
us finish!! cry cry cry

Good. ASUU are just corrupt union after there own pocket and interest. If not Buhari is soft on citizens and converted democrat. i would have recommend he started using gestapo style on ASUU leadership.
Same way we lecturers will go Gestapo on your lives.. ASUU has realised it's not worthwhile fighting for youths like you.... Don't worry we'll deal with you ruthlessly

Academic activities won't resume this year.
ASUU should please shouldn't have anything to fear if their hands are clean as regard this IPPIS.

I could remember back then in school my project supervisor teaches in a private university and also a state university and hardly have time for me. Many lecturers are into stuff like this holding 3 to 4 jobs in both federal and state universities and also private and hardly have time for students rather they delegate their work to students to handle
ASUU is very corrupt. The reason they always succeed in bamboozling the FG and getting away with it is because the FG negotiators and decision makers is made up of a bunch of daft, incompetent and self-serving bastards who do not possess the intellect nor the wits to match the corrupt cunning of ASUU members. Put me and my likes in that team, give us a year with full autonomy to do and act as we please and we will bring ASUU to its knees

What exactly is the problem of some of these lecturers?

Shame on ASUU.
Dem no want make we resume this year anymore.
Nawa o
Don't confuse yourself. Yesterday's report and today is the same. In summary, FG raised the offer from 50b to 65b, as against the 110b which ASUU requested for earned allowance and revitalisation.

The issue of IPPIS was just a distraction on the part of the government. Regardless, FG shifted ground yesterday by agreeing to pay Lecturers using the former payment platform, pending when UTAS passes integrity test.

But hope you're aware that the 65b is not going to to ASUU's account? In all honesty, ASUU are not only after their welfare but also the standard of universities.

N.B. I'm not a Lecturer or associated with any. I'm even affected by this strike. But we need to be objective.

I don't care. Most of who we call students don't deserve fighting for by ASUU. We get our pay teach 25% of what we should. If you need quality education fight for it yourselves.

Or we don't have the institution to deal with situations like this. I mean people who have captured students at home will always try to have the upper hand grin.

Comments like this makes me weep for this country. Ethiopia has already harvested 200 Professors from Nigeria, Nigerian doctors and professionals are migrating in droves to Canada, Australia, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. When the brain drain fully sets in, and we begin churning out truly unemployable graduates na that time una eye go clear. Make this covid-19 hullabaloo finish first.

So they should fight for your pocket, the revitilization fund is not for ASUU. What's bad in demanding for allowances?

standard of varsities for who exactly? The one with one month left to graduate or the ones already in the substandard system. Yes our varsities need work but ASUU is acting like it's simply by FG negotiations and capturing the 'sub' students at home sad.

I have been saying this, Nigeria newspapers have turned to fake copy and paste blogger, no where in the meeting did they say FG will drop IPPIS, all these were faked by Nigeria newspapers.
Re: Strike: We Haven’t Exempted ASUU From IPPIS – FG by Karlifate: 6:34pm On Nov 21, 2020
They gave ASUU two options.

It looks like a bait, FG wants to know IF they really want this revitalization or just a facade to get the EA.

Yahoo Government.
Up-and-coming Yahoo ASUU.

I think only thisday carried such story. Most of them I read and what was said on tv was that they'd be paid using the old platform not totally exempting them from ippis.

Nevermind, Punch also said they were exempted grin.
