Just use API Gateways to connect any platform anyone wants to use to the IPPIS. That way you can keep your platform but all the details will be captured in one central server.

Send snapshots of all the various payment databases to one central database for easy audit trail

Host all the platforms in one Docker

ASUU is very corrupt. The reason they always succeed in bamboozling the FG and getting away with it is because the FG negotiators and decision makers is made up of a bunch of daft, incompetent and self-serving bastards who do not possess the intellect nor the wits to match the corrupt cunning of ASUU members. Put me and my likes in that team, give us a year with full autonomy to do and act as we please and we will bring ASUU to its knees

Don't confuse yourself. Yesterday's report and today is the same. In summary, FG raised the offer from 50b to 65b, as against the 110b which ASUU requested for earned allowance and revitalisation.

The issue of IPPIS was just a distraction on the part of the government. Regardless, FG shifted ground yesterday by agreeing to pay Lecturers using the former payment platform, pending when UTAS passes integrity test.

But hope you're aware that the 65b is not going to to ASUU's account? In all honesty, ASUU are not only after their welfare but also the standard of universities.

N.B. I'm not a Lecturer or associated with any. I'm even affected by this strike. But we need to be objective.
God bless u

Im non-partisan and I BELIEVE competence should come before anything else. Most of you guys enjoyed the very best education has to offer from the white man and upon graduation, jobs were at the tip of finger nails.

the story has changed now... you cant claim to fight for the youth and delay their tuition year when the real enemy is within government ranks. EVEN at the end of a looped seven year course the same graduate you claim to fight for will have next to nothing to offer and left without jobs

Stop sounding like an empty head.

ASUU is fighting over an agreement they had with government since 2009. Thats eleven years ago and you are here disgracing yourself.

Why has FG not taken them to court since how many times they have gone on strike over these years?

FG knows that the 2009 agreement and the memorandum of understanding they had with ASUU in 2013 and 2017, together with the memorandum of action of 2019 are all on paper and duely signed by both parties.

With such documents how can FG win them?

instead of you to blame the government for failing to keep the various agreements they entered into with ASUU you are here messing yourself up.

you think they go to have beer palour discussion with FG. Park one corner pls.

Academic activities won't resume this year.
ASUU should please shouldn't have anything to fear if their hands are clean as regard this IPPIS.

I could remember back then in school my project supervisor teaches in a private university and also a state university and hardly have time for me. Many lecturers are into stuff like this holding 3 to 4 jobs in both federal and state universities and also private and hardly have time for students rather they delegate their work to students to handle

Because he is not paid well.
If he received half of senators take home, believe me he will have your time

From the outcome of the meeting it is obvious that the strike will soon be over.

There is hope now than before so relax.

If only you can channel this your zealous energy in fighting your politicians that corruptly enriched themselves, are still enriching themselves and wii continue enriching themselves in billions of dollars of Nigerian money, Nigeria will be better. How much is budgeted for the whole education sector in the first place? And what project do you think lecturers undertake that they embezzle money? Or how much do you think they get from students compare to your senator that even refused to let you know how much he collects? Moreso what is the useless government doing about the alleged corrupt lecturers, considering that government owns EFCC, ICPC, NUC etc?

The University is the vehicle, FG is the owner, students are the passenger and ASUU is the driver.

Vehicle owner only wish to hear that the vehicle is moving, passenger only wish to get to his destination, but a GOOD DRIVER pays attention to the vehicle and stop it (even when it is still driveable) for necessary repairs and maintainance, regardless the grumblings and murmurings from the owner and the passenger. Not to just continue driving till the vehicle knocks to a stop or crash due to multiple faults.

So, whenever you remember that the drivers of the four refineries Nigeria used to have drove the refineries to the dump sites they are today, same with Nitel, Ajaokuta steel and many other govt owned companies, and the fact that NEPA was only salvage at scrap and the so called private drivers can't still get it running smoothly, thank ASUU again.
