Unforgiveness is the act of refusing to forgive someone who has wronged you.
It is similar to drinking poison and expecting your enemy to die.

It is unfortunate that this sin is so popular in our times, even amongst Christians and has been given the new name "beefing". The most recent exposé of the popular twin musicians who haven't spoken to each other and their families for 4 years is typical example of how dangerous the sin of unforgiveness is.

How dangerous is unforgiveness to a Christian?
1. Our heavenly Father won't forgive your sins if you fail to forgive the sins of others. (Matt 6:14-15)

2. It is a straight path to hell fire and eternal seperation from the presence of God.(matt 18:23-35)

3. It is the mother of several sins as anger, bitterness,hatred and resentment. When you are under the control of these sins, it means you are no longer been controlled by the Spirit nature but by the human nature.( Rom 8:5-7) . Whereas, the Word of God states that those who are controlled by their human nature cannot please God (Rom 8:8 )

4. Unforgiveness is the major cause of divorce in our society. It is so bad that divorced couples deny each other the right to see their children. The kids are badly affected as they grow up been brainwashed from one parent about how bad the other is. (Lev 19:17-18)

5. It is so dangerous that Jesus advised us to drop our gifts at the altar and reunite with our families before presenting the gift to God.(Matt 5:23-24)

6. Jesus advised us to forgive 7 × 77 times because he understands the dangers of unforgiveness to the human soul.(matt 18:21-22)

If you are reading this and you have a grudge, beef or malice with anyone, make it a point of duty to forgive the person and reconcile with that person today for tomorrow is too late. No matter what the person did to you, it is nothing compared to losing your soul for eternity.

It's very dangerous because it's the sin most believers don't take seriously, yet it could be more dangerous than other sins, because it's a sin that makes other sins unforgivable.

It's easier said than done though, hence I always asked God to help me forgive those who trespass against me, and He's really helped me because it's much easier for me to do so now.

I always pray for my enemies so that's one evidence of forgiveness.

As a Christian there are three steps to forgiveness

First - You must first of all forgive yourself

Second- You forgive others

Third - Forgive God.


Unfogivenes doesn't really means not forgiving others because you may hate yourself without knowing.

Unfogivenes can only be dangerous to the person himself that refuses to forgive because in actual sense you have not forgiven yourself.

The Devil can never change. There is no place it was written that he asked for forgiveness.

Likewise forgiving your enemies. Yes if they come and ask for forgiveness you have to forgive them. But an enemy who is not ready to change from doing you evil, and keeps doing it. How do you forgive such.

The only way you can show you are a child of God is don't repay with evil and don't wish him or her evil except they are after your life. Then you can change your prayer of forgiveness to a prayer of war.

So Forgiveness is good. It is the right thing but when the evil persist and the enemy is not ready to stop going after your life, then it is time for warfare.
