because the Igbo's came and settled in those areas, after some time, in their usual way, they displaced the original owners of the land, but couldn't push away their culture, so assimilation occurred.

There are no settlers there, a large part of what we have as bende division were original Ibibio lands. has nothing to do with tribal sentiments whatsoever. Akwa Ibom people are not known for settling in others land.

even in arochukwu which was an Ibibio area, they still worship the old deity and carry out the cultural rites they met.
